Hello Hiver!!
Welcome to my Blog!!
I had to choose the male and female brood stock catfish based on some parameters that constituted the basis for my selection before injecting the female brood stock catfish with the spooning hormone to make it release its eggs.
Even if this selection criterion is not the basic standard for selection, it appears to be my best choice when choosing a brood stock for breeding.
The Selection Process For Female Catfish Entales Is Based On
• Female breeding stock must be at least 1.5 kg in weight.
• When maintained on the floor, the stomach should be bloated or protrude outwards.
• Some eggs should come out when you tilt the belly upward and press it lightly.
• The eggs need to emerge apart from one another ( not in cluster)
• The egg should be green, yellow-green, or brown in color. If it is whitish in color, the egg is bad for breeding.
• The hue of the female genetile should be somewhat pink or somewhat reddish.
Consequently, there is a significant likelihood that the female will produce good quality eggs if these criterias are been met.
The prerequisites for male brood stock include:
• A minimum weight of 1.5 kg should be maintained for the male brood stock.
• The genetic elements ought to be able to develop till the dorsal fin's starting.
• A reddish or pink color should be present at the genetile's tip.
In this manner, there is a significant chance that the male catfish will produce quality sperm that will be used for fertilizing the female eggs.
Isolating the brood stock that will be used for breeding from the others after the selection process will allow me to offer them special care before using them in breeding.
