One of the tasks I have on my list for my next trip to Portugal is pruning the olive trees. I've never done it before and there are 110 so it will for sure take me some time. Of course, I will get help from Robin and Katia, our friends who have been living off-grid in the same small village for more than four years now.
In my last trip I brought an extensive tree pruning saw but considering the amount of work we would have to do, I decided to purchase a mini chain saw with a couple of batteries to make life easier.
There are also some vines I will have to prune and I also plan to take a little care of the fruit trees. Although it seems like a lot of work, I can't wait to get into it. Get my mind out of digital work for most of the day, stay away from the computer, and just do physical work in nature.
I also want to measure the tiny house on the farm and the warehouse in the village to try to plan and prepare all the tasks I will have to do when I move there for the summer. I plan to leave on March 16th and by coincidence Barcelona Beer Festival will be the following weekend, so I will have to drive to Lisbon and take a flight to town to spend the weekend in the Festival presenting our new dApp. It will be a short physical work break to dive into the digital world again, but doing it with the rest of the team and sharing some beers will also be a great experience. I will share more of that as the dates approach.
