I chose not to sit and put my feet up and watch an hour of tv while hubs was out at the beach yesterday.
Normally I take the time for a bit of quiet, but I was really itching to get out into the cold winter. There was some snow falling and the wind had died a tiny bit.
And it had been ages since I visited the beach even though it's literally 3 miles from our house.
There's also some serious activation of those leg muscles when walking on the sand. Even though it was mostly frozen, the terrain was bumpy and varied.
The wind was much stronger once we were out on the open beach.
The sun was bright. The wind was blowing. The stream from ocean to little inlet was frozen.
The rocks were trapped.
As the little snowflakes pelted my eyeballs, I wasn't really sure what my pictures were going to look like!
In fact, I thought I'd catch some snow...but apparently I got proof of the one bird that was out that day.
I hope you enjoy this little glimpse at my neck of the woods during winter. Today the sun is shining, there's not a whisper of a breeze and it's 35 degrees outside.
Funny how it all changes so quickly.
