Mayu was a young schoolgirl as ordinary as the rest, she felt invisible among her classmates, but that did not bother her; on the contrary, she enjoyed being unnoticed. In that state, her mind found peace and tranquility, however, everything changed one day in the classroom.
During a lesson on Geography that seemed to have no end, out of nowhere, her mind was filled with voices and visions that did not belong to her. Random moments of happiness, sadness and pain appeared in her mind as many voices echoed and spoke at the same time, a bombardment inside her head. It created so much confusion and disorientation that he collapsed at his desk, leaving his classmates more than surprised.
An hour later, in the school infirmary, the noise woke Mayu from her sleep, there was nothing but silence in the room, but in her head she heard in the distance the inner voices of people all over the school.
At first, she thought they were distant sounds, but soon realized it was coming from the other students in the hallway.
They were foreign thoughts, memories of lives that were not hers. There was not a minute of silence, the noise in her mind grew like a wave, dragging her further and further away from the shore of her own inner voice.
With great effort, she gathered her things and left the school, hurried and confused. With every step she took on her way home, the bustle was riddled with alien echoes seeping into her consciousness.

The inside of her brain was like a broken down radio receiving and emitting neural signals, words, memories and ideas of complete strangers were running through her head unchecked.
Messages that made her sad were intertwined with insults and criticisms. She tried hard to separate other people's thoughts from her own, but she was barely able to follow her own voice, it was a total confusion. She could hear the sorrows and complaints of the endless number of people around her, she wished from the bottom of her heart that they would all stop at once.
When she got home, she locked herself in her room, to get away from the world. Tired and desperate, she lay down on her bed and put the pillow against her head, wishing to silence the voices. But even there, in the solitude she had sought, she felt the wailing of strangers creep into her thoughts, as if her mind had been opened to an endless ocean of other people's emotions.
That day, Mayu awakened a superpower, an extrasensory perception that allows him to read minds. Of directly receiving thoughts as if they were his own, but that kind of gift comes at a high price in the user: His sanity.
Unchecked, this ability can lead to a severe case of schizophrenia and other psychological problems such as paranoia.
Little is known about Mayu's fate after awakening this peculiarity, the last thing that was known about her is that she dropped out of school and preferred solitude.
