Les doy la bienvenida a este breve reporte este primero de julio ya que 2 eventos importantes se han sucedido el mismo día, primero la llegada del evento Hive Power Up Day #HPUD y el final de temporada de Splinterlands. Veamos de que trata cada uno y donde nos ubicamos en el contexto de estos 2 eventos.

Welcome to this brief report on July 1st, as two important events happened on the same day: first, the arrival of the Hive Power Up Day #HPUD event and the Splinterlands season finale. Let's take a look at what each one is about and where we stand in the context of these two events.

Comencemos por el primero, el #HPUD o Hive Power Up Day, un evento que nos invita cada primer día del mes a realizar un "encendido" o stake de cierta cantidad de hive, es un evento que por una parte nos ayuda a incrementar nuestro poder de voto dentro del ecosistema hive y segundo a reducir el exceso de liquides del token ayudando a robustecer el valor del token. En mi caso hice un encendido de 11 hives para cubrir el #HPUD del mes de Julio.

Let's start with the first, #HPUD or Hive Power Up Day, an event that invites us every first day of the month to "power up" or stake a certain amount of hive. It's an event that, on the one hand, helps us increase our voting power within the hive ecosystem and, second, reduces excess liquidity in the token, helping to strengthen the token's value. In my case, I lit 11 hives to cover the #HPUD for the month of July.

Este año me he propuesto un reto doble, el primero es completar los 12 HPUD del año y como pueden ver ya hemos cubierto 7 de ellos, así que estamos a sólo 5 de cubrir los 12 meses. Parece algo sencillo a primera vista pero no lo es, requiere de una fina planificación y administración de las recompensas que recibimos en el ecosistema. Cuando empezó el año fondeaba mi billetera con hives que compraba desde Binance. Pero lamentablemente vivir en el sur global nos hace susceptible a la triste realidad de nuestras monedas y es que permanentemente se devalúan así que he tenido que recurrir a los intereses mensuales que recibo por tener HBD en stake para comprar hives.

This year I've set myself a double challenge. The first is to complete the 12 HPUDs for the year, and as you can see, we've already covered 7 of them, so we're only 5 away from covering the 12 months. It seems simple at first glance, but it isn't. It requires careful planning and management of the rewards we receive in the ecosystem. At the beginning of the year, I funded my wallet with hives that I purchased from Binance. But unfortunately, living in the global south makes us susceptible to the sad reality of our currencies: they are constantly devalued, so I've had to resort to the monthly interest I receive from staking HBD to buy hives.

Esto no es algo que disfrute hacer, para mi cada HBD que gano ya sea en airdrops, concursos o publicaciones dentro de Hive es como un trabajador que en stake me va a generar mensualmente un % de HBD ideal para poner en marcha una estrategia de interés compuesto. Pero aquí es donde entra el segundo reto que me he propuesto y es el de hacer los Hive Power Month, es decir, hacer diariamente, a lo largo del mes el encendido de al menos 1 hive y como pueden ver ya tenemos completados 6 meses haciendo esta actividad y no pienso darme por vencido así que por ahora, mientras pasa la turbulencia económica en mi país estaré aprovechando los intereses generados por el stake de HBD para comprar hives y mantener los encendidos diarios.

This isn't something I enjoy doing. For me, every HBD I earn, whether through airdrops, contests, or posts within Hive, is like a worker whose stake will generate me a monthly percentage of HBD, ideal for launching a compound interest strategy. But this is where the second challenge I have set for myself comes in, and that is to do the Hive Power Month, that is, to turn on at least 1 hive every day throughout the month, and as you can see, we have already completed 6 months of doing this activity and I am not going to give up, so for now, while the economic turbulence in my country passes, I will be taking advantage of the interest generated by the HBD stake to buy hives and maintain the daily power-ups.

Splinterlands EoS

El segundo suceso fue el cierre de temporada en Splinterlands donde logramos avanzar a plata 2 en el formato moderno ya acumulamos casi 280K en glints, una buena cantidad para solo jugar en moderno. Pero ya jugar con solo 2 ediciones de cartas se vuelve bastante aburrido y tenía la sospecha que podía generar más en wild con mis cartas Chaos Legion que con las Conclave Arcana/Rebellion así que decidí probar suerte esta temporada en Wild.

The second event was the close of the season in Splinterlands, where we managed to advance to Silver 2 in the Modern format. We've already accumulated almost 280K in glints, a good amount for just playing in Modern. But playing with only two editions of cards is getting pretty boring, and I suspected I could generate more in Wild with my Chaos Legion cards than with the Conclave Arcana/Rebellion cards, so I decided to try my luck this season in Wild.

Lo bueno es que aquí me mantengo en Diamante y ciertamente genero un poco más de Sps pero no de glints. Por otro lado mi intención de jugar aquí es por las Brawls, ya que me tocó la Fray que permite usar todas las cartas del juego así que virtualmente es como jugar en wild. De esta manera no pierdo la maestría con mis cartas Chaos Legion/Riftwatchers y al mismo tiempo genero más sps.

The good thing is that here I'm staying in Diamond and I certainly generate a bit more Sps, but not glints. On the other hand, my intention here is to play Brawls, since I got the Fray, which allows me to use all the cards in the game, so it's virtually like playing Wild. This way, I don't lose control of my Chaos Legion/Riftwatchers cards, and at the same time, I generate more SPs.

Lo que si me parece una vergüenza es que para los 2 formatos se consuma la misma energía, si se supone que estas pagando un pase de 2K en Dec para jugar un formato que además te exige el doble de sps bloqueados para alcanzar recompensas parecidas a las del formato moderno, al menos ofrécenos el beneficio de contar con una barra de energía separada del formato moderno. Lamentablemente, mientras eso siga así, encuentro difícil que nuevos jugadores se incorporen ya que asumirán que jugar en el formato Wild es literalmente un castigo.

What I do find shameful is that both formats consume the same amount of energy. If you're supposed to be paying for a 2K Dev Pass to play a format that also requires double the amount of locked SP to achieve rewards similar to those in the Modern format, at least give us the benefit of having a separate energy bar for the Modern format. Unfortunately, as long as this continues, I find it difficult for new players to join, since they'll assume that playing in the Wild format is literally a punishment.

Abriendo Packs Gladius/Opening Gladius packs

Por último quiero cerrar este post abriendo al menos un par de packs gladius con los Glints que obtuvimos en las recompensas de EoS. No los gastaré todos ya que estoy reuniendo para una compra de varias cartas Rebellion Rewards legendarias que no son nada baratas. Estas cartas gladius cuesta mucho subirlas de nivel sólo con los méritos conseguidos en las brawls, por lo que de vez en cuando compro un par de estos packs con los glints en la tienda.

Finally, I want to close this post by opening at least a couple of Gladius packs with the Glints we obtained from the EoS rewards. I won't use them all, as I'm saving up for a purchase of several legendary Rebellion Rewards cards, which aren't cheap at all. These Gladius cards are very difficult to level up with merits earned in brawls alone, so I occasionally buy a couple of these packs with the glints in the store.

Al abrir los 2 packs nos conseguimos con la sorpresa de una carta gladiadora legendaria! y aunque no tuvimos la suerte de obtenerla en lámina dorada, esta es la sexta copia en mi mazo, por lo que podré upgradearla al nivel 3.

When we opened the two packs, we got the surprise of a legendary gladiator card! And although we weren't lucky enough to get it in gold foil, this is the sixth copy in my deck, so I'll be able to upgrade it to level 3.

Jini Guise es mi segunda carta gladiadora que llevo a nivel 3, así de difícil es subir de nivel estas cartas amigos, adquiere una ventaja muy destacable y es la de poder reducir el daño de las unidades mágicas en -1. La voy a tener en consideración cuando tenga que enfrentar batallas con sólo unidades mágicas.

Jini Guise is my second gladiator card that I've leveled up to level 3. It's that hard to level up these cards, my friends. It gains a very notable advantage: it can reduce the damage of magic units by -1. I'll keep this in mind when I have to face battles with only magic units.

Bien amigos de Nft Game Latino, con esto doy cierre a este breve update de mi progreso en el mes de Junio, continuamos firmes haciendo los #HPUD y los hive power month, estoy considerando hacer el power up helper, al menos en alguno de estos meses restantes pero necesito conseguir más hive antes. Mientras que en Splinterlands llevaré un registro de cuán rentable puede ser wild solo jugando con mis propias cartas y sps bloqueados, creo que puedo generar mucho más que solo jugando en moderno pero esas conclusiones se las compartiré en un próximo post.
