Kids. Naive, sweet, innocent, angelic, lovely small human not until they decided to open their small mouths to drop some surprising things that will make you marvel about their entire existence.
Let me take you back memory lane to a lovely silent Friday evening after my sister's kids returned from school. We the adults were seated in the sitting room that evening having some impactful random talks as usual. Then out of no where, this 4 years of nephew of mine came back to the sitting room, came directly to the centre like someone who was about to deliver an emergency speech, cleared the throat with a sharp look on her face while she sang:
🎶 “Do me I do you, man no go vex…”
We stop our discussion, froze and starred at eachother's face
His mum who was following him clutched her wrapper again while my uncle dropped the TV remote he was holding. What he said was not the problem but the type of Poco Lee dance moves that followed after. His hands in the air while moving his legs small small like he has been practicing the moves in the secret without us knowing. My sister looked at her husband, the husband looked a the female visitor sitting opposite to me, the female visitor looked at me stylishly, I looked at the wall immediately with a smile on my face. I am single abeg.

Another day, while in church, it was my sister's daughter this time around. As soon as the pastor told the church to stand up for prayer, that was how my niece shouted, "Mum mum.... Is this the pastor you said his prayers usually take long." My sister just decided to face her front, remained focus and did like she did not hear what her daughter just said.
Kids of have no filters like Snapchat. The are very blunt like Twitter users, very short words but it drops like explosive. They hardly forget things and play it all again except if it was their school homework. The will forget some details about you but they will never forget how mummy was shouting "yes daddy" in the other room the previous night.
So dear readers, reduce your "yes baby" midnight ringtones, keep your playlists and continue hoping that they never catch you because if there is a caught and they voice out... the streets never forget.
Thank for reading.
