Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. This summer window has been mostly based on clubs going all out for top strikers in the market. The big names listed on the market were Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyökeres, Victor Osimhen, Jonathan David and Alexander Isak. The names listed are the top-performing European strikers with different clubs working to sign them this summer. Now all the strikers have gotten a new club, and just one future still remains uncertain, which is Alexander Isak.
The transfer market is already slim with no top strikers anymore who will potentially leave their club for a big one next season, and this is where FC Barcelona comes into the picture. In the last summer window, there were talks of Barcelona going for a striker, but they decided to put things on hold as the club was happy with Lewandowski, who still has a year with the Catalan club. This season may be Lewandowski's last at Barcelona, as the main plan from the club is to let the contract expire and then push for a young striker next summer, which they plan to go all out for when the time is right.
There are currently no prominent strikers in the market as the top names on the list are starting their new chapter in a new club. The two prominent names that were echoing within Barcelona were Benjamin Sesko and Alexander Isak. Sesko is on the verge of joining Manchester United as the deal is almost completely sealed between RB Leipzig and United, so the potential hopes of Barcelona going for Sesko are zero as that won't happen. The other name which echoed in the is Alexander Isak.
The Swedish striker was appreciated by members within the club, but the situation was difficult as Newcastle United isn't looking to enter talks with any club. There is still uncertainty surrounding Isak's future in Newcastle United as Liverpool is still keen on signing the striker, but the situation on the club level is still the same. The Megpies don't want to enter any negotiations at the moment, but hopefully something will develop in the coming days.
According to multiple sources, Barcelona will try to push for Julian Alvarez next summer window. The Argentine is appreciated by President Joan Laporta as he has talked about him a couple of times. Julian Alvarez will be playing his second season at Atletico Madrid soon and he is valued highly by the club president. It will be difficult to sign Julian Alvarez, as that is the plan from the club next summer, and honestly, I don't think Alvarez is the kind of striker the club needs in the long run. It's still just a speculation as nothing concrete has taken place between the club and Julian Alvarez's camp.
There is still a long time for the club to explore the market, and this season will be the best for the club to lock out any promising striker. So guys that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
