According to several reports, Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has reached a personal agreement with London rivals Arsenal in a potentially shocking transfer development. The 23-year-old England international, who is renowned for his quickness, style, and inventiveness on the right flank, may be the most recent well-known player to switch teams in the capital.
After joining Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in 2023, Madueke has struggled for regular playing time under several managers, despite occasional bursts of brilliance. The club may be willing to sell the winger if the right offer comes in, according to sources, as Chelsea's attack is now overcrowded due to recent additions.
Madueke seems like the perfect fit for Arsenal, who want to expand their options to relieve some of the pressure on Bukayo Saka. His straightforward approach and attacking mentality are reportedly admired by Mikel Arteta, and the player and the Gunners have reportedly already agreed on personal terms.
A deal is far from final, though. Chelsea is expected to demand a fee of between £45 and £50 million, and Arsenal will now have to negotiate a transfer fee with them. It is unclear if the two teams can reach a consensus, particularly in light of their escalating rivalry and competition at the Premier League's top end.
After Kepa Arrizabalaga arrived this summer, Madueke would become Arsenal's second summer acquisition from Chelsea. As he looks for more playing time and a larger role at a top Premier League club, Madueke's career may also undergo a dramatic change as a result of the move.
