Novopangea Beginners Contests

Starting Bi-Weekly!

Ok guys I want to get some more players in Novo so let's start doing regular beginner contests!

We will have them on Saturdays. Entries will have to be in on Saturdays and the winners will be picked on Saturdays.

It's Saturday today, so it only makes sense that we start the first weekly one next Saturday, Aug 12th, to give people time to see it and get in.

So next Saturday, the 12th, by noon pacific time entries must be in for our first bi-weekly Novopangea Beginner Contest.

How do you enter?

First you need a wax wallet. Wax Cloud Wallet is a quick easy way to get started. Remember that it is a browser wallet and inherently less safe for any long term storage. Anchor Wallet is much safer long term yet requires a bit more to set up. Get your wax wallet all setup with some wax for your resources. You need mostly cpu and very little ram or net.

Once you have a wax wallet you can leave it here in a comment or find me in discord at the link in the footer of this page.

Rules

I need your wax wallet address. Drop your wax wallet address in the comments below to receive your 2 free unskilled workers. (Dont have one, my introduction to Novo has you covered)
I want only new players. I'll take a quick look over on atomic hub to be sure the wallets left in comments dont have anything in them that would offer an unfair advantage. Only drop your wax wallet address if its not played novo before, or you dont have any assets yet. (I'll let a few story cards slide since they won't really affect this contest)
You can enter a friend from Hive, if you think they will play. Let me know their account name so I can tag them if they win.
You can enter a Hive group or community here on Hive. Let's say you are a #stacker for example. If you want to pull together a bunch of your guys and jump in on this contest you can. 😉 Just hit me up, let me know who in your group (whatever group that may be) is getting in and their wax wallet addresses.
Everyone will have to start at the same time to make it fair. We may have to give this post some time to build up enough people to start the contest. I don't have a set number but 7 might be good so it's competitive. More is always more fun! So I will wait to do the drop for the unskilled workers until we have some people in it. Then drop them all same day. This way everyone gets their workers at the same time. I'll of course announce anything pertinent to this as we go along.
I want hive players but anyone new that wants to play and has a wax wallet can enter.

1st Place

1st place gets 2 lands and a residential building.

2nd Place

2nd place gets 1 land and 3 unskilled workers.

3rd Place

3rd place gets 3 unskilled workers.

How do you win?

By using the workers we send you to work more shifts than any other contestant.

We will check the Novopangea Leaderboard to decide winners.

What if you've already been in one of these beginner contests?

Then you cannot re-enter the beginner contest unless you never started and are using the unskilled workers we gave you the first time.

Once we have a community built playing we can likely create other contests for our more advanced players.

Limited Time Only: If you've been in on one of these already and you send me someone that actually plays in one of our future contests, I'll send you one unskilled worker^{Subject to change or be taken down at my discretion.}

Recap

Get me your wax wallet address by next Saturday, Aug 12th, noon pacific time.
I'll send everyone their workers on the following Saturday Aug 17th. Contest starts on that date by noon pacific time.
You have 2 weeks to use your unskilled workers as much as you can.
Winners will be selected based on how many shifts you've worked at the end of 2 weeks when we tally.
We will call this coming weeks contest "Contest 1" of the weekly contest. Moving on each 2 weeks from there.
