One of my favorite benefits of living full-time in an RV traveling the U.S.A. is how often we get to sit around a campfire.
In a world that is moving increasingly digital, where we bury our faces in our screens and forget to connect with other humans... I find a campfire is one of the easiest ways to connect with other people and with myself.
Last night I spent about four and a half hours sitting by a fire, slowly feeding it more fuel, and just watching it and taking in its warmth.
Over the course night..
I sat there with my family and talked about the day.
I watched as my kids ran around and played in nature while I talked with my wife.
I ultimately sat alone, with just the fire and my thoughts.
Whether it's taking the time to just sit and relax alone, or taking the time to enjoy the company of family, friends, or strangers...
A campfire is a simple, cheap, and yet endlessly entertaining way to get some peace and pass some time.
I'd love to sit around the digital campfire with you! Share your favorite campfire photos or your favorite campfire memory!
