But one thing is very true and has been proven time and again— it is during times of trouble that one truly knows one's true self. On happy days, when everyone is by one's side, they show love and talk with a smile. But when darkness descends in life, many people get lost, the true nature of many relationships is exposed. However, there are some foolish people like us who, even after getting to know people, go crazy to trust them again.
When we are in trouble, we understand who our true friends are. People who stand by our side selflessly, extend a helping hand without any interest, they are true friends, our loved ones. Because standing by us in trouble does not mean just helping, it is a true test of a relationship. Only if there is pure love, compassion and humanity can someone suffer for someone else's suffering. Suppose someone is sick. Even though there are many people around them, how many truly stand by them? Who rushes to donate blood, who buys medicine, who is engaged in day and night service? We have seen that many times even close relatives move away on various pretexts, while the person to whom we have never given much importance may remain silently by their side. I think we should never hurt anyone. When the person we are going to hurt feels excessive pain in his heart, the person gradually turns to stone. The person to whom we have never given importance is the one who stands by us in our troubles. However, the people we have tried to keep by our side with importance have never been by our side and I don't think they will ever be.
In times of danger, people's masks fall off. Then the pretense can no longer continue. Then some stand by just for show, showing sympathy, while others silently and selflessly extend a hand of true sympathy. At this time, some relationships become permanent, while others break up forever. But that is actually the true identity - who is our own, and who is just a mouthful. Those who extend a hand of true sympathy selflessly are our real friends. Remember those who were by your side in your trouble and remember those who came to your side only to save their own interests. But write down the names of those who were by your side in a book because when you overcome the danger, you will definitely spend some time with them and you will see that your life will be worthwhile.
Just as danger teaches people, it also gives them the opportunity to analyze life anew. Many times, our hearts can break for those who do not help in times of danger. But this is also a kind of blessing. Because, if we do not know those people, we would be stuck in the wrong relationship all our lives. And those who remain silent in times of danger, we understand their importance anew, and the relationship becomes stronger. Keep one thing in mind, those who have refrained from helping you in times of danger must be put on the list of your relationships and those who have stood by you silently and selflessly must try to give importance to them. Try to strengthen your relationship with them, you will see that after a while they will be able to give you the most love.
Family and kinship ties are very important in Bangladeshi society. But real experience shows that just because we have kinship ties, there is no guarantee that a person will stand by us in times of danger. Many times, a complete stranger shelters us in times of danger, helps us, and even turns our lives around. These incidents teach us that the ties of the heart are much stronger than blood ties. Strangers will help you, but people you know will run away from you. In some cases, we have seen that when we are in danger, our loved ones forbid us from contacting them. Do you know one thing? When their interests were with us, they were selflessly by our side, and when we were in danger today, they took us away from us. Those who helped us only as strangers are also a blessing from Allah.
These experiences make us more aware. We learn how open we can be with whom, who we need to maintain a relationship with, and who we should keep our distance from. Danger is never desirable for anyone, but danger is a great teacher in our life, which shows the true face of a person. The great teacher in our life is this danger. When you are in danger, you will be able to recognize the faces of your loved ones very well. In some cases, it is seen that your loved ones will treat you in ways that you have never done to them or that you have never imagined that you will receive such treatment from them.
