In the past, I didn't really care about flowers, especially paper flowers. For me, flowers were just plants that were often found on people's fences, easy to grow, and didn't require much attention. Until one day, I saw purple paper flowers blooming in front of my neighbor's house. The color was... not garish purple, rather dark purple, but when exposed to light, it looked like it had a magical gradation.
For some reason, from that moment on I began to realize that these paper flowers really didn't get enough attention. People often talked about romantic roses, fragrant jasmine, or expensive orchids. However, paper flowers have something different: they are strong, can survive hot weather without much drama, and the more often they are pruned, the more flowers they will bloom. That's life right? Sometimes, the more we fall, the more good things can grow.
I finally tried growing them myself. At first I was pessimistic, afraid that they wouldn't bloom or even die because I'm not the type of person who diligently waters plants every day. But it turns out, paper flowers don't need much care. As long as it gets enough sunlight and not too much water, it will be fine. I started to think, maybe this is the type of plant that best suits my easygoing personality, not liking to be complicated, but still able to grow in its own way.
Now, the purple paper flower has become part of my home. Every time I see it, I always remember that something simple can be beautiful if we are willing to see it from the right angle. Also, if you feel like your life is a mess, remember the paper flower: sometimes, the best things grow after being pruned many times.
