On Saturday I attended the Geekcon in the city of Cumaná, the first Otaku & Gamer event I attend, my boyfriend took me because he is a fan of this completely new world for me, while we were walking he was explaining me each game that was shown in the gamer area, I admit that I recognized some cosplays but the vast majority not, the same was my partner who explained me even the history, which anime is and the personality of each one.
For me it was an adventure to go and see all the products offered at the event, from posters, anime, keychains, drawings, everything related to the geek world. I felt lucky to be there and meet amazing people, in this group is MareArt, an excellent artist that made me relive one of my favorite passions which is drawing, she explained me her drawing methods and how she makes art with her work.
Without a doubt my favorite part of the event was when the Venezuelan Luis Carreño, dubbing actor well known in Latin America for giving the voice of the famous character SpongeBob SquarePants, the princes of Barbie, Max Steel and many more characters, came online. I was delighted to hear his stories, his beginnings and how he became the person he is today. He also gave a motivational talk and told us to fight for our dreams. Undoubtedly an amazing person.
I finished the day playing UNO with my partner and his friends, we were there from 12 noon until 7 at night, it should be noted that the event started at 9 am but we were late because we wanted to have lunch.
I learned a lot from this world and I would like to go to more events of this type, the freedom that the people who attend this event have seems magnificent to me, they are natural and very spontaneous, they have no problem talking to you even if they don't know you because everyone feels like family.

El día sábado asistí al Geekcon en la ciudad de Cumaná, el primer evento Otaku & Gamer que asisto, mi novio me llevo porque es fanático de este mundo completamente nuevo para mi, mientras caminábamos él me iba explicando cada juego que se mostraba en la zona gamer, admito que reconocí algunos cosplays pero la gran mayoría no, igual estaba mi pareja que me explicaba incluso la historia, de que anime es y la personalidad de cada uno.
Para mi fue una aventura ir a ver todos los productos que ofrecían en el evento, desde posters, animes, llaveros, dibujos, todo relacionado con el mundo geek. Me sentí afortunada de estar ahí y conocer personas increíbles, en este grupo esta MareArt, una excelente artista que me hizo revivir uno de mis pasiones favoritas que es el dibujo, me explico sus métodos de dibujo y como hace arte su trabajo.
Sin dudas mi parte favorita del evento fue cuando se presento online el venezolano Luis Carreño, actor de doblaje bastante reconocido en el América Latina por dar la voz de el famoso personaje Bob Esponja, los príncipes de Barbie, Max Steel y muchos mas personajes. Me senti encantada de escuchar sus historias, sus inicios y como llego a ser la persona que es hoy en día. También dio una charla motivadora y nos dijo que lucháramos por nuestros sueños. Sin dudas una persona increíble.
Termine el día jugando UNO con mi pareja y sus amigos, estuvimos ahí desde las 12 del medio día hasta las 7 de la noche, cabe destacar que el evento comenzó a las 9 de la mañana pero llegamos tarde porque queríamos almorzar.
Aprendí mucho de este mundo y me gustaría ir a más eventos de este tipo, la libertad que tienen las personas que asisten en este evento me parece magnifica, son naturales y muy espontaneas, no tienen problemas de hablarte incluso si no te conocen porque todos se sienten en familia.
