San Pedro, comunidad campesina colindante entre los municipios Bolívar y Mejía del estado Sucre, fue el escenario donde la pareja: Julia Camejo y Manuel Flores fijaron residencia. Allí nacieron entre avatares y labores agrícolas, todos sus hijos. Un 17 de Diciembre de 1929, estaba por consumarse la llegada de un miembro más para la familia. La mañana se evidenciaba fresca, había rocíos por los alrededores de la casa. Los dolores de parto en Julia Camejo eran cada vez más pronunciados. La angustia llegó hasta la Virgen del Carmen y San Juan Bautista para que les ayudara. Aunado a la diligente actuación de la abuela Paulina Frontado se logró que la niña Carmen alcanzara su plenitud de vida sin mayores dificultades.

En Carmen no cesa su identificación por el folklore y en un cerrar de ojos se envuelve en la realización de comparsas y bailes de Joropo. Innumerables son los reconocimientos que esta abnegada mujer del sentir Marigüitense ha recibido, destacándose entre ellos la Declaratoria de Patrimonio Cultural Viviente del municipio Bolívar entregada por la municipalidad en el 2003 y la máxima condecoración emitida por la misma institución en el año 2009, ORGULLO MARIGÜITENSE.
