Hello everyone, as usual this time I will share a little experience and the results of today's shooting.
For today I focus more on the pictures related to the "Garden" or rather about the contents of The Garden In My House.
This time the type of flower that I want to share is Pacing flower (the Indonesian call for this flower) or in scientific language it is called "Costus Woodsonii" or some people call it by other names such as "Red Button Ginger, Scarlet Spiral Flag, French Kiss, Dwarf Cone Ginger".
Although some people call it by a different name, I can conclude that this flower is still in the "Costaceae" family category.
This plant is a plant native to Southeast Asia which usually can also grow naturally in the wild, especially in humid places or in tropical climates.
The characteristics are: The Flowers Are Large, Erect, Tall, The Stems Can Reach A Height Of Up To 4 Meters, The Trunk Is Hard And Light Brown Stripes, The Leaves Are Lanceolate, The Petiole Is Hairy, The Flowers Are Arranged Like A Tower/Torch, Red, If The Time Has Come To Bloom The Corolla Which Forms White Lips And A Yellow Stripe In The Middle Will Stick Out Prominently, The Fruit Is Round And Red, The Seeds Are Black, And It Is Also Easy To Propagate Using Seeds Or Stems (all of these characteristics can be compared with the photos below).
A little extra, in addition to the beautiful shape and color, this plant also has various benefits, some of which are:
- As an ornamental plant
- The roots are used as herbal medicine for fever and seizures
- The Leaves And Branches Can Be Used To Wash Hair
- There are Saponin Toxic Compounds And Have A Little Essential Oil
