How are you today friends??? I hope you are still fine, friends. Well today I found a rusty object which is a condition in which iron is corroded through an oxidation process so that it will bring up yellow corrosion results and smell like iron.
Rust itself can be formed because of the presence of water vapor or due to the air in the surrounding humid environment, salt and acid vapor in the free air, the physical condition of the metal whose surface is uneven, even due to the contact of one metal with another metal.
The chemical nature of rust or corrosion occurs due to the reaction between metal and oxygen in an object. Objects rust because there is a reaction that produces a new type of substance. Rust or corrosion is the result of an oxidation reaction of a metal.
A chemical property is a form of change that an object undergoes to form a new substance. Chemical properties are characteristics of a substance associated with the formation of new types of substances. Chemical properties, among others, such as one of them is rusty.
Iron undergoes corrosion to form rust with the formula Fe2O3.xH2O. Corrosion or rusting is an electrochemical process. In the rusting process, iron (Fe) acts as a reducing agent and oxygen (O2) dissolved in water acts as an oxidizer.
Objects can be classified as corroded and non-corroding. Objects that are easy to rust are metals such as iron, one example is the picture below. And things that don't rust easily are plastic and glass.
