#EPL-ScoreChallenge #8 - Gameweek 1
This week I will be reviewing the Liverpool v Leeds United game, the game will be played on Saturday 12th September at 17:30 BST @ Anfield.

Champions of England v Promoted Champions
What a brilliant way to start the season for the neutrals. For Leeds supporters they wish they can delay the trip to Anfield - baptism of fire if you will. Both Liverpool and Leeds were heads and shoulders above the pack last season in their respected division; Liverpool secured the Premier League trophy for the first time in 30 years, beating their nearest rival by 18 points. Leeds have impressed last season too, they secured promotion to the top division for the first time in 16 years and won the Championship by 10 points.
Liverpool scored 85 goals in the Premier League last season, while Leeds scored 77 goals in the Championship, suggesting both teams love to venture forward. Also like Kloop's Liverpool team, Leeds manager Bielsa likes the high-pressing style of football too.
Liverpool have won 25 of their last 26 league games at Anfield. They also haven not lost a league game at home in 59 matches since April 2017. Klopp will want to maintain the 'Anfield Fortress'. This statistic alone is formidable for the West Yorkshire team, last time a promoted team played at Anfield at the opening day of the campaign; Norwich City, had 3 goals shipped passed them in 28 minutes.
Last time Liverpool played Leeds at Anfield was in a League Cup tie in November 2016, when Liverpool won 2-0. Leeds has improved significantly since then. This time round Leeds will likely to be a much tougher test for the Reds in their opening game of the campaign.
This opening day showdown at Anfield has all the ingredients to be a cracker and one to remember. Both teams are on cloud 9 from their historic last season campaigns, both teams play a very similar style of football, both managers demand extra from their players. I cannot wait!
