This was the main game of gameweek 3, VVD v Lukaku show. And the match didn't disappoint at all. Liverpool v Chelsea matches are always classics! The game ended in a stale mate, kudos to Chelsea for standing tall and defended like a unit for 45 min with ONLY 10 men.

Chelsea goal came from a corner and it was a very soft goal in Liverpool's perspective. Havertz was unmarked, but his improvisation to loop the header over Allison was genius. Chelsea withstood Liverpool's onslaught for the majority of the first half, they managed few counter attacks but they were quickly closed down by Liverpool's defenders.

Liverpool's goal game in the dying minutes of the first half as there was a major scramble in the Chelsea's box as Andy Roberson wiped in a corner and Liverpool eventually won the 2nd, 3rd ball till it fell kindly for Mane to kick the ball towards goal. Reece James cleared the ball off the line with his hand, in doing so it stopped a guaranteed scoring opportunity which merited a red card.

Chelsea defended the 2nd half with ONLY ten men. The Blues withstood wave after wave of Reds attack. In the end, the honors were shared between the teams.
