Firstly I would like to thank all that participated in the #EPL-ScoreChallenge AND #HIVE-FPL.

Season 2021/22 started with a big bang, crowds are back in the stadium - football is FINALLY back to it's norm. Historic victory for 1st time promoted team Brentford on the opening day, victory over Arsenal. Victory for Watford (promoted team) over Aston Villa in a 5 goal game fest. And on the last day of the gameweek, we saw Manchester City were humbled by Spurs without Kane.

As the saga of Harry Kane's transfer continues.

Weekly Update - #HIVE-FPL

Striker

Antonio played a pivotal role in West Ham entertaining victory over Newcastle. Antonio scored 1 goal and had 2 assist. Besides those significant stats, he and Benrahma was in the center of the Hammers attack. Antonio could of accumulated more points but he was unfortunate to miss a penalty.

Congrats to the 3 FPL managers in our mini league that had him in their team.

There were a few more striker that scored decent amount of points in this gameweek; Emmanuel Dennis - Watford (12)

Midfield

Fernandes and Pogba bossed the midfield as the red Devils dismantled Leeds United. The Portuguese scored a hat-trick, which makes him the only player in this gameweek to score 20 points.

Congrats to the 8 FPL managers in our mini league that had him in their team.

There were a few more midfielders that scored decent amount of points in this gameweek; Mohamed Salah - Liverpool (17), Paul Pogba - Manchester United (16) and Saïd Benrahma - West Ham (12)

Defender

Chelsea really bolstered their team in the summer and will push hard to land their hands on the PL trophy. Alonso has been around the London club for a while and he has been regarded as one of the seniors. Alonso stood tall and commanded the defenders around him. He also contributed a goal and also kept a clean-sheet.

Alonso is not owned by any FPL managers in our mini League, at £5.5 seems like a steal not to have him on your team.

There were a few more defenders that scored decent amount of points in this gameweek; Trevoh Chalobah - Chelsea (14), Ricardo Domingos Barbosa Pereira - Leicester City(12) and Ethan Pinnock - Brentford (11)

Goalkeeper

Lloris has been really solid for Spurs; keeping a clean sheets, made some outstanding saves, preventing Manchester City from scoring.

Lloris is owned by 1 FPL managers in our mini League, but was left on the bench. At £5.5 seems like a steal not to have him on your team as a backup goal keeper.

The season is still young and a few changes to your FPL team can make a real difference.

Also I will be closing the 'hive-fpl' league after this week, so no new FPL managers can join the league.
