But I got this bite and I thought I’d bring it to the @med-hive community.
It happened while I was picking grapes (hoping to post about that later, once I finish making the wine ;).
I felt something bite the side of my foot. The intensity for me was more than a fire ant and less than a bee. I got dressed at 4:30 AM today and didn’t think anything of it until I took my socks off, roughly 28 hours after the bite.
I noticed it itched really bad then and looked at it and it was open (~1.5-2.0mm).
I know there are some spider bites that can rot the flesh, but I assume they all work faster than this?
My assumption is that this is probably nothing, so I thought it was a low risk opportunity to see how this community will respond to a question - since otherwise I’d be doing nothing about it whatsoever.
So, what do you think? Is it possible for some insect bite to have slow but terrible effects? Or after 28 hours am I pretty much in the clear?
THANKS @med-hive!
🙏✌️
