It started yesterday when I purchased 100 Bee on Hive Engine. Finally getting the hang of trading fiat for crypto but that's another story!
Anyway, I have been working on the My1440 project for a couple of months now and wanted to create a lead magnet for people joining my list. I was on the CTP Inner Circle Mastermind and the idea came up in the group to create a token for the project.
I learned that I could create my own token and it would only cost me a few dollars and I can use it for a lead magnet among other things.
So, yesterday with the help of Eliana and Mike Dell I managed to get together the Hive tokens that I needed to get the 100 BEE required to create my own token.
This morning I worked with Jon and Eliana to get that done.
These are the steps to create your own token on the Hive Blockchain:
Log In to Hive Engine and it brings you to the main page. Click on Tokens in the menu that is across the top of the page.
You'll come to this page with a list of all the existing tokens and this is where there is also a link to click that says Create to create your token. So far so easy.
And this is where I ended up when I clicked on CREATE and where I got guidance from Jon in how to fill out the page.
This is the demo Jon created for me to help me fill out the create page.
I filled my page out according to his example:
and clicked Submit and was sent to a confirmation page:
I got here and clicked on Create and the Keychain Confirmation prompt came up and I thought it was all good. But I got an error message. There were two things wrong.
Learned that the token name has to be in capital letters so no numbers.
Eliana came up with the name TIME for the tokens and we tried that.
So, I replaced the token name with TIME and clicked on submit and got the confirmation prompts again and that time it worked.
Now the next step is putting them up for sale and learning how to use them as a lead magnet for my list subscribers.
This is another example of the awesome support I have received from the CTP Inner Circle and the CTP Community. I am learning and growing and having a lot of fun working on this project. And when I can I will update this post with the pictures that wouldn't work now.
