Street photography is a genre that reflects everyday life. The picture is usually taken in some public place. Street photography is a documentary genre, that is, honest, which originates in reportage photography.
In street photography, editing and staging are not allowed, but creative techniques such as silhouette, deep shadows, non-standard angles can be used.
One of the creative techniques is geometry.
Geometry includes many lines, both ordered in rhythm and chaotic.
There is also an emphasis on shape, color, spotting...
Such a creative technique as spotting, which is at the junction of graphic-abstract photography and street one, was of particular interest to me.
Usually street is shot at standard focal lengths from 24 to 85 mm.
But I found a use for a telephoto lens, since a long focus compresses plans, which makes it even more spotty.
Therefore, I called this direction a spotted street for myself and I shoot in places where there are a lot of people and also a lot of all kinds of street infrastructure.
Poles, road signs, shop signs, bright clothes of passers-by, bicycles, cars, shadows from trees and metal structures - all this must be brought together so that it turns out like a multi-colored carpet.
In this direction, composition is not important for me, since I use the basic principle of street photography "here and now".
If I did not wait for a person in the place I needed within a minute or two, then I look for another place.
I also believe that the universe somehow interacts with my perception and can direct or even send me any images.
Therefore, it turns out such a spontaneous spotted street photography.
I won’t say that I mindlessly point the camera, no, I not only use the methods and techniques worked out to automatism in building a frame, but also force myself to look for something interesting and think about how to implement it better.
