Although the rules say you need to make a post, I agree with your point of view that you don't want to create a blog post of one picture, so I see it as a legit entry (I'll add this exception to the rules).
And the picture is lovely. Placing the sun just behind the plat lights it up perfectly and besides that it created a cool lens flare.
