Siayan is a beautiful place in the province of Zamboanga del Norte. One of its landmarks is the slushy streets, which give passersby a serene and calming vibe.
While we passed by the place this morning, the lush canopy served as an umbrella, protecting the travelers from the heat of the sun, and will help during the rains too.
Why is it this empty?
The municipality is not a densely populated area, and only a few pass through the area since it is a rural/province.
Most of us associate an empty street with loneliness or sadness, a symbol of isolation and abandonment. Yet for others, those same empty streets offer something entirely different - a sense of serenity, calm, and spiritual connection.
In stillness, they find peace and an opportunity for reflection and feel closer to the Almighty. Sometimes, what feels desolate to one heart can be sacred to another.
These photos are originally mine, captured using iPhone XS and my husband's iPhone 13 Pro. These images are taken from the different streets of the town of Siayan.
This is my entry for this week's #qurator's Phot Quest Competition: Empty Streets. I hope you enjoyed my blog, and this is my first time posting here in the #photography community.
Thank you very much for reading. This is @jeanieviv84 saying, Have a great day and God bless you.
