Hello everyone! Today I am going to share some photos I took while I stayed in the Penang island. During my trip, I stayed at an establishment in the Georgetown city which had a beautiful city view. I could see the whole town and all the buildings as it was a high rise floor. The following are some of the pictures I took.
This this view from the window of the house where my family and I stayed in. It was spectacular especially at night as it was full of lights everywhere. This is just one part of it. The beautiful pink lit building we see is the famous Komtar building. Komtar stands for Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak. It has many administrative offices of the Penang government. It also has other sections which are targeted towards common people especially tourists, both local and foreign.
This is almost a similar image but with slightly different focus settings. The main tourist attraction there is the Rainbow Skywalk which is on top of the Komtar building. It is made of horseshoe glass and we can walk on it to experience the thrill of walking on transparent surface. There are also restaurants and boutique stores in the building.

This is a selfie of mine. We have never stayed with a city view and so I thought a night selfie with the lights will look cool, except you can't see me 😅 I wasn't visible as it was night and lights were off indoors.

This is the view with the curtains drawn a little closer. My brother slept in the hall as there was a large bed and he wanted to enjoy sleeping with the view of the skyline. But he draws the curtains at night so it was closed a little.
This is in the parking floor. Can you spot the moon and star in the sky? I'm compiling more pictures of similar view below. All of them were taken after returning from eating dinner out.
The night life in Georgetown is quite happening. Even at night many people including tourists keep the streets occupied to enjoy the city. Some just spend time with their friends by just sipping a drink in a restaurant or enjoy a hearty meal. The streets are also usually well lit and some areas have strings of lanterns on top.
I will move here if it's possible 😅 It's a beautiful place with the best of both worlds. We can enjoy the city perks while also being close to mountain and beach areas which are all located less than an hour from each other.
