After 12,150 polls, 213,723 votes, and 8,213 unique accounts, dPoll is coming to an end.
It started as a hackathon project and grew significantly in its early years. It didn’t reach the level I had envisioned, but dPoll successfully demonstrated that blockchain-based polls are not only feasible but practical.
It served as an important experiment and opened the door for other developers in the ecosystem. Fortunately, peakD has integrated polls into their platform, preserving much of the same metadata and architecture. Their solution is more modern, user-friendly, and offers a seamless experience for users.
dPoll will go offline on 29th November 2024 at 00:00 CEST. If you need your data, no action is necessary — everything remains securely stored on the blockchain.
A heartfelt thank you to all the contributors and users over the years who made dPoll possible. Your support and participation have been invaluable.
