Hive Music festival week 137 round 2, my name is @sampraise77 and I did a cover of a song “Eze Ebube” by Neon Adejo.
this really hits home for me. The title means “King of Glory” in Igbo, and it perfectly captures how I feel about God. Each line reminds me of my journey and all the times God has been there for me, especially when I didn’t deserve it.
The opening line, “More than my mouth can testify,” really speaks to me. It’s true that I can’t find the right words to share all the amazing things God has done in my life. There are so many moments where I could have lost it, but He was there to keep me strong. His grace has done more for me than I can say.
Then there’s the line “More than my mind can comprehend.” That’s a real reminder that God’s plans and blessings go way beyond what we can think. Looking back on tough times, whether it was loss, fear, or confusion, I see that God was working things out even when I didn’t get it. I’m still amazed at how everything turned out well in the end.
The chorus “Eze Ebube, see how far you've brought me” always brings tears to my eyes. Singing it makes me think about my life journey. From childhood to now, through hard times and wins, it’s clear that God has been my rock. He’s the reason I’ve kept going. He took me from nothing and gave me worth. That line really makes me feel noticed by Him.
When I hear “I'm so glad you found me worthy,” it’s such a humbling moment. Despite all my mistakes and struggles, God still loves me and chooses to bless me. This truth really stirs up worship in me. I often wonder, “Why would the King of glory care about me?” But He does, and that thought moves me deeply.
Finally, the line “All my days I will sing your praise” is my promise to Him. It’s my answer to His grace. This song doesn’t just make me feel emotional; it roots me in thankfulness and inspires me to live a life full of praise.
“Eze Ebube” keeps reminding me that my life is a reflection of God’s grace. It boosts my faith, strengthens my worship, and helps me trust that God has more in store for me.
