I never thought it would work. But I was desperate, broke after some months of not working after the accident, in extreme pain and had extremely limited use of my left arm; being part of the clinical trial didn't cost anything. The orthopedic specialist had said I would never be able to straighten my arm fully after the car accident and I would have to learn to live with it, or cough up big time for some "experimental nerve surgery". I opted for the Near Infra Red Flexbeam Clinical Trial.
Part of the clinical trial involved me agreeing to share my healing journey, and that hasn't been possible till now; I had to wait till all the licences and permits and FDA documents were approved, and production of the actual Flexbeam units underway here in Thailand.
Today's the day I can start to share freely & personally.
My healing journey - which took about 6 months initially over 2 blocks of 9 treatments - is best shown in this short youtube clip. Yup - that's how I look most days. 𤣠The fat belly at the end is actually a heat pack under my top. š¤£
I had been worrying during this Covid19 we-have-reduced-income-phase about how to afford one when the Flexbeam production happened, and was blown away to be gifted one. All the clinical trial participants have received one. And I picked mine up yesterday. š
How does it work?
LED light at a frequency of 625-635nm (red) and between 810-850nm (infra-red) is delivered to the tissue via the Flexbeam device. The light can penetrate tissue to roughly 11cm. The light enters the cell mitochondria and is absorbed by the chromophones including the protein cytochrome c oxidase (CCO) and the EZ water, which then increases its activity. As aresult, 3 molecules are affected: Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) and Nitric Oxide (NO).
Experiments have clearly shown that red light therapy stimulates mitochondrial energy generation in the cells, enhances the voltage across the membrane and increases the body's capacity for energy storage. Source.
And so today I started my new pro-active personal health & recharge strategy: Daily Near Infra Red Light Baths!
My intention is just 20-30 mins each day is to substantially improve blood oxygenation (which improves everything) and to also recharge and send energy to my slightly-chemo-damaged liver and my microbiome (again, a key for health in the body). That means 20 restful minutes, laying down, and feeling the subtle shift in electrical vibration.
Two simple positions: one across the upper chest to open and charge the lungs and heart for optimal function.
The cycle is 10 minutes long and the device switches itself off. It is unbelievably relaxing!
The second position is the abdominal one - sending light and electrical charge to the gut and the liver in particular. There is the sofa version:
or the legs inverted for the hot Thai afternoon version:
I am using this 20 committed minutes each day not specifically as a meditation time (although one easily could) but more to simply feel the warm light currents and to visualize.
I DO believe that in my lifetime many homes will become equipped with light bath capsules - not unlike tanning beds - to infuse, recharge and restore and enable the body's own innate healing.
Had I not been injured and somewhat desperate, I never would have tried, nor believed, that light alone could be such astounding natural medicine.
And so all things work for good. Grateful. Taking it over to my friend, Andy, tomorrow to shine some magic rays on his pancreatic, liver & lung tumors.
Looking forward to sharing my unfolding light healing journeys with you.
