El cuerpo de la mujer es un laberinto sin igual, las maravillas que oculta en sus caminos son únicas en cada una, somos como las huellas, únicas.
Para mí la menstruación es la renovación de nuestra alma, nuestro espíritu y nuestra carne. Ninguna menstruación es igual a la anterior, cada uno de nuestros ciclos trae consigo algo nuevo que siempre debe ser escuchado y atendido.
El autocuidado de la mujer más allá de involucrar la atención física, también debe traer consigo el cuidado de las emociones, del espíritu, de los pensamientos.
¿Cómo podemos entonces alinear todo éste tipo de autocuidados en nuestros ciclos para mejorar nuestra menstruación y nuestra vida?
The woman's body is a maze without equal, the wonders hidden in her paths are unique in each one, we are like the footprints, unique.
For me, menstruation is the renewal of our soul, our spirit and our flesh. No menstruation is the same as the previous one, each one of our cycles brings with it something new that must always be heard and attended to.
A woman's self-care, beyond involving physical attention, must also bring with it care for the emotions, the spirit, the thoughts.
How can we then align all this type of self-care in our cycles to improve our menstruation and our lives?
Quiero destacar que los dolores fuertes e incapacitantes en la menstruación NO SON NATURALES, aunque últimamente es muy común escuchar a mujeres decir: ''Mis dolores de menstruación me incapacitan en la cama, pero con dos pastillas logro funcionar un poco bien'', la menstruación no debería proporcionarnos tal dolor, la dismenorrea es algo que debe atenderse para saber qué la causa (a nivel individual), si es la alimentación, estrés, o algún desequilibrio químico de nuestro cuerpo.
Una vez aclarado éste punto, partamos de la primera base para alinear nuestro cuerpo físico con el etéreo durante nuestra menstruación, el yoga.
Aunque muchas de nosotras en ésta comunidad amamos nuestro ciclo, comprendo perfectamente que hay algunas a las que aún les cuesta hacer las pases con ella y durante su ciclo se llenan de estrés, adrenalina, malhumor, trayendo entonces un cóctel de emociones a colación durante estos días.
Aquí el trabajo que realizarías con el yoga es precisamente para estabilizarte un poco, traerte de nuevo al presente, respirar y concentrarte en escuchar a tu cuerpo te enseñará a vivir con la calma de tu lado durante tu menstruación. Considero que una de las mejores formas de escuchar a tu cuerpo en cualquier situación es durante una sesión de yoga, debe traerte paz, destensión, calma; nunca dolor.
Puedes realizar ásanas simples, dónde te sientas cómoda con tu cuerpo (recuerda que nuestro cuerpo cambia durante nuestra menstruación).
Al momento de preparar tu sesión de yoga habla con tu vientre, silencia tus pensamientos acelerados y coloca una música agradable, que acompañe a tus movimientos, también puedes repetir mantras, te dejo uno maravilloso: ''Fluyo junto con mi cuerpo, el interior de él y mis aguas''.

Quiero aclarar que no soy una instructora de yoga, en mis posts hablo desde la experiencia propia, desde la investigación y lecturas realizadas, a su vez, siempre consulto con mujeres de mi alrededor.
Recuerden el yoga es la practica que conecta el cuerpo, la respiración y la mente, es nuestro mejor aliado durante los ciclos.
Ahora hablemos de los baños, un consejo maravilloso que les dejo, siempre que terminen sus sesiones de yoga tomen un baño. Mi abuela siempre me enseñó que la naturaleza nos trae orden interior en cualquier situación, preparar baños durante nuestra menstruación es una forma maravillosa de mejorar el descanso y nuestra energía.
A la hora de preparar tus baños deben hacerse en agua tibia, con las plantas que se ajusten a tu situación emocional actual (puedes añadir flores) y siempre bendiciendo el agua mientras es preparado el baño, algo que funciona en mí es visualizar el agua de algún color y una vez tomado el baño, imaginar que tu piel se tiñe de ese color con su intención.
Es decir, que si deseas traer calma, entonces imaginemos que el color violeta es tu nuevo traje para traer paz.

In other words, if you want to bring calm, then let's imagine that the color violet is your new suit to bring peace.
Los baños son el momento más intimo que tendrás contigo, cuando los tomes recuerda también tener un mantra para ti, uno maravilloso es: ''Bendigo mi vientre, mi menstruación, escucho a mi cuerpo y respeto a mi ciclo''.
Aquí les dejo algunos baños que podríais tomar, pero recuerden siempre investigar por su cuenta.
Manzanilla: disipa el estrés y brinda un mejor descanso.
Lavanda: mejora el estado de ánimo.
Romero: cuando sientas desorden, o sientas que estás llevando una carga emocional muy fuerte un baño de romero ayuda a eliminar esa tensión y brindar orden. (Puedes mezclar con ruda).
Ruda: cuando sientas una mala racha, éste baño dispersa todo lo que esté provocando esa mala racha. (Puedes mezclar con romero).
The baths are the most intimate moment you will have with you, when you take them remember to also have a mantra for yourself, a wonderful one is: ''I bless my belly, my menstruation, I listen to my body and respect my cycle''.
Here are some baths you could take, but remember to always do your own research.
Chamomile: dissipates stress and provides better rest.
Lavender: improves mood.
Rosemary: when you feel uneasy, or feel you are carrying a very strong emotional burden a rosemary bath helps eliminate that tension and provides order. (You can mix it with ruda).
Ruda: when you feel a bad streak, this bath disperses everything that is causing that bad streak. (You can mix it with rosemary).
