I use a natural blend of herbs and roots to detoxify my body, regulate blood pressure and improve my immune system. The ingredients I rely on include zobo (hibiscus flower), neem leaves, cinnamon root, ginger, lime orange and moringa leaves. Each of these components offers unique health benefits and when combined, they work synergistically to cleanse the body and promote overall well being.
To begin, I gather all the ingredients fresh and organic from the farms and some from the marketplace,for example the lime orange, cinnamon root ,zobo flower and ginger are bought from the market. Zobo is rich in antioxidants, especially anthocyanins, which help flush out toxins from the body. It also helps reduce blood pressure and supports a healthy heart. Neem leaves are known for their powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. They help purify the blood, cleanse the liver and reduce internal inflammation, which is often a contributing factor to high blood pressure.
Cinnamon root plays a vital role in stabilizing blood sugar levels and improving blood circulation in the general body. I use it in small quantities because of its strong flavor and it works well with ginger. Ginger aids digestion, boosts metabolism and has anti-inflammatory properties that relieve tension in the blood vessels, making it ideal for managing hypertension.
Lime orange is a great source of vitamin C, which strengthens the immune system and helps the body fight infections. It also assists in flushing out harmful toxins from the kidneys and liver. I use both the juice and the zest to get the full range of benefits. Moringa leaves are nutrient dense and packed with antioxidants, iron, calcium and essential vitamins. To prepare the detox blend, I boil a handful of zobo petals with a few slices of ginger and cinnamon root in about two liters of water.
