Me gusta combinar vegetales con cereales y semillas, me encanta lo crujiente que aportan las semillas a la preparación unida a la suavidad de los vegetales. Hoy les comparto una manera de consumir calabacín combinado con dos grandes alimentos, las semillas de linaza y la avena.
Con la combinación de las semillas de linaza, la avena y el calabacín dará como resultado una arepa potenciada en sabor y nutrientes.
I like to combine vegetables with grains and seeds, I love the crunchiness that the seeds bring to the preparation together with the softness of the vegetables. Today I share with you a way to consume zucchini combined with two great foods, flaxseeds and oats.
With the combination of flaxseeds, oatmeal and zucchini will result in an arepa enhanced in flavor and nutrients.
Los ingredientes
Los ingredientes que comprenden esta preparación aportan nutrientes fundamentales al organismo contribuyendo en mantener la salud en buen estado. Esta preparación lleva como ingredientes principales:
Calabacín: Es un tipo de verdura que tiene contenidos altos de fibras. También es rico en agua. Es un alimento excelente para apoyar los procesos de bajar de peso, ya que aporta pocas calorías. Se puede consumir crudo o cocido. Por ejemplo, se puede rallar crudo y combinar con otros vegetales resultando una gran ensalada.
Estilo consumir mucho calabacin, en guisos, también lo preparo asado, lo uso para hacer pastas, entre otros.Linaza: Llevo alrededor de 25 años consumiendo linaza. Lo comencé usando como gel para mi cabello, dejándolo hidratado y definiendo mis rizos. También lo consumo en mis batidos en la mañana para aumentar el valor nutritivo, ya que estas semillas de linaza aportan diversas vitaminas, como B1, B2 y B6. Al no consumir pescados en mi dieta las semillas de linaza aportan Omega 3 y 6,
Avena: Consumo avena desde muy niña, me encanta, lo uso mucho en la cocina, desde un simple batido con canela y agua, pasando por croquetas, e inclusive albóndigas; hasta mascarillas para cabello y cara es la protagonista.

I like to consume a lot of zucchini, in stews, I also prepare it roasted, I use it to make pasta, among others.Flaxseed: I have been consuming flaxseed for about 25 years. I started using it as a gel for my hair, leaving it hydrated and defining my curls. I also consume it in my smoothies in the morning to increase the nutritional value, as these flaxseeds provide several vitamins, such as B1, B2 and B6. Since I do not consume fish in my diet, flaxseeds provide Omega 3 and 6,
Oatmeal: I consume oatmeal since I was a child, I love it, I use it a lot in the kitchen, from a simple shake with cinnamon and water, through croquettes, and even meatballs, to masks for hair and face is the protagonist.
Para estas deliciosas arepas se requiere, media taza de avena, 1 calabacín, 4 cucharadas de linaza, 2 cucharadas de harina de maíz y sal al gusto.
For these delicious arepas you need half a cup of oatmeal, 1 zucchini, 4 tablespoons of flaxseed, 2 tablespoons of corn flour and salt to taste.
Instrucciones
Paso 1
Rallar el calabacín, por lo general no retiro la piel cuando cocino calabacín y en este caso no ha sido la excepción.

Paso 2
En un envase colocar todos los ingredientes, el calabacín, la avena, las semillas de linaza, la harina de maíz y la sal.

Comenzar la integración de los ingredientes usando las manos, amasar hasta que todos los ingredientes se hayan integrado y la masa tenga una consistencia suave y que permita ser moldeada fácilmente.
Para amasar la masa no es requerido agregar agua, ya que el calabacín aporta el agua necesaria.
Step 3

Paso 4
La dedicación en el amasado es fundamental en el resultado de arepas suaves. Mientras más se amase mejor es el resultado.

Paso 5
Una vez se complete el amasado de la masa, proceder a moldear las arepas, tomar una parte de la masa, formar una pelota y aplastar y finalmente con ambas manos dar un acabado redondo.

Once the kneading of the dough is completed, proceed to mold the arepas, take a part of the dough, form a ball and flatten and finally with both hands give a round finish.
Paso 6
Al tener todas las arepas armadas, llevar a una plancha caliente, cocinar por ambas caras hasta que estén doraditas. Disfruten de la fragancia en el ambiente mientras estas suculentas y nutritivas arepas se cocinan.
Step 6
Once all the arepas are assembled, take them to a hot griddle and cook on both sides until golden brown. Enjoy the fragrance in the air while these succulent and nutritious arepas are cooking.

Llegó el momento de deleitarse con esta preparación.
Luego de que las arepas estén doradas por amabas caras pueden rellenarlas con lo que deseen, inclusive, se pueden comer sin relleno, es como comerse una galleta. En mi caso, tomé un chop suey que preparé y rellené con él una de las arepas. La explosión de sabores es deliciosa.
