The above was partially inspired by @dougkarr 's Blogging By Dictation Has it's like Issues as Will the Future of Human/AI Interaction
or, to be more precise, it made me decide to add the dictating element, where - only yesterday - I realized that Hypersensitivosaurus could be doing some journaling.
I have been thinking of using dicating / voice to text software for some years now but never found anything affordable that worked for me.
In all honesty, it's about time that this story becomes more META.
Let's make it an onion, with layers revealing other layers revealing even more layers and - as a bonus - with health benefits ( not unlike onions ).
I also wrote the following today ( or, in this case, I typed... ):
Filing your nails, a necessary task for peaceful raptors, carnivores or not, was a real challenge for hypersensitivosaurus.
The feeling – and sound - that this action produced, the repetitive scraping and scratching of nails on a rock, gave him goose bumps ( in case you didn't know, his predecessors were huge chickens, hence the eggs and goosebumps ) and an overall feeling of dis ease. Even the thought alone made him cringe.
Nevertheless, nail filing needed to be done, in order to live the kind of life that he had chosen.
He had managed to find a remedy though, something that helped a lot - putting some wax in his ear holes.
Nevertheless, even with plugged ear holes, it was far from easy. Being hypersensitive and knowing how it sounded with unplugged ear holes and just the overall sensation...
😖
It wasn't like he had much of a choice though and, more importantly, the more of a habit he made this, the more he would get used to it and the less time he would need for future filing sessions.
Plus, if he ever wanted to play ( long distance ) chess, he would need shorter nails.
