Hello to all the members of this community! I really like to attend the anime events and although a couple of years ago I had to choose between several to attend, of a time for here, I have left the events aside for thinking about other things. But unexpectedly ended up attending some event suddenly. This happened this past Saturday, when I ended up going to TORACON, an anime event that was held in the city of Barquisimeto (Venezuela). I had heard about the event a few months ago, but I had not passed through the mind attending. My boyfriend, halfway at the week he wrote me and told me “you and I are going this Saturday to the event.” I must confess that I was very happy, because I really like to use cosplay.
I am Cosmaker, so usually when I decide to attend an event, I pass through the process of “Character Selection, Purchase of Materials and Elaboration of Cosplay”. However, this time did not have a long time to elaborate a costume from scratch, so I opted to put together a kind of “Christmas outfit” for any of the characters that I had already done cosplay previously. For this, I looked for a couple of garments in my wardrobe and I put up something that was according to the subject. I liked the result a lot:
The event was performed in the Lounge Great Versailles. Years ago he had attended an event in the same place and I had not liked a lot due to the lack of lighting in the place, which, affected the photographs that were taken, especially at the cosplay. Even so, that did not stop us. The place is spacious, although it helped in a way that the assistance of the public (at least the day we went), it was not as busy, so we could move easily around the area.
In spite of everything, the spirit of those present was notorious, especially when they were with the cosplayers who used the cosplay of their favorite characters. I found several cosplays that I liked enough and I recognized instantly.
I also had the bliss not only that my cosplay was recognized, but they took me several photographs. I usually always just doing cosplay of little known series, so it is quite comforting when they recognize me, much more when I do not wear the full suit, but somewhat representative, as happened in this case.
As expected, the sale stands, they offered items that caused them to take home … and as a compulsive buyer that I am, I opted to choose a small detail to buy: a brooch with a small plant. As my hair is currently dyed green, it is an accessory that makes me quite good to look. Even though we were only a couple of hours and we could not make great shopping, it was quite nice to spend a different time with my boyfriend and his brother, plus after the busy months we have had. It is good to take a break and go out to get distracted.

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de ésta comunidad! Me gusta mucho asistir a los eventos anime y aunque hace un par de años tenía que escoger entre varios para asistir, de un tiempo para acá, he dejado los eventos de lado por pensar en otras cosas. Pero inesperadamente termino asistiendo a algún evento de forma repentina. Así ocurrió éste sabado pasado, cuando acabé yendo a la TORACON, un evento anime que se realizó en la ciudad de Barquisimeto (VENEZUELA). Había escuchado acerca del evento hacía unos meses atrás, pero no se me había pasado por la mente el asistir. Mi novio, a mitad de semana me escribió y me dijo "Usted y yo vamos éste sabado al evento". Debo confesar que me alegré mucho, pues me gusta mucho usar cosplay.
Soy cosmaker, así que por lo general cuando decido asistir a un evento, paso por el proceso de "selección de personaje, compra de materiales y elaboración del cosplay". Sin embargo, en ésta oportunidad no disponía de mucho tiempo como para poder elaborar un traje desde cero, así que opté por armar una especie de "outfit navideño" para alguno de los personajes a los cuales ya le había hecho cosplay anteriormente. Para ello, busqué en mi guardarropa un par de prendas y armé algo que fuera de acuerdo al tema. Me agradó bastante el resultado:
El evento fue realizado en el salón Gran Versalles. Hace años había asistido a un evento en el mismo sitio y no me había gustado mucho debido a la falta de iluminación en el lugar, lo cual, afectaba a las fotografías que se tomaban, sobretodo a los cosplay. Aún así, eso no nos detuvo. El lugar es amplio, aunque ayudó en cierto modo que la asistencia del público (al menos el día en que nosotros fuimos), no fue tan concurrida, así que podíamos movernos con facilidad por la zona.
A pesar del todo, el ánimo de los presentes era notorio, sobretodo cuando se encontraban con los cosplayers que usaban los cosplay de sus personajes favoritos. Yo encontré varios cosplays que me gustaron bastantes y que reconocí al instante.
Tuve también la dicha no sólo de que mi cosplay fuese reconocido, sino que me tomasen varias fotografías. Por lo general siempre acabo haciendo cosplay de series poco conocidas, así que es bastante reconfortante cuando me reconocen, mucho más cuando no llevo el traje completo, sino algo representativo, como ocurrió en éste caso.
Como era de esperarse, los stands de venta ofrecieron artículos que provocaban llevarse a casa... y como compradora compulsiva que soy, opté por escoger un pequeño detalle para llevarme a casa: Un broche con una pequeña plantita. Como mi cabello actualmente está teñido de color verde, es un accesorio que me queda bastante bien para lucirlo. A pesar de que estuvimos sólo un par de horas y que no pudimos hacer grandes compras, fue bastante agradable pasar un tiempo diferente con mi novio y su hermano, más después de los meses ajetreados que hemos tenido. Es bueno darse un respiro y salir a distraerse.
