Hello everyone. Hope you are doing well. I'm here today with yet another food review.
Who wouldn't like a nice cool ice cream on a hot summer afternoon? My friends and I attended one of my senior's wedding this Sunday. Although we had a lot of delicious foods and desserts, we were craving for our favorite "Natural Ice Cream".
The unique feature of Natural Ice Cream is that it contains no artificial flavours, no preservatives or stabilisers, only fresh fruit pulp or dry fruits, milk and sugar. Naturals Ice Cream is a huge name in our city as well as in many other places in India for its authentic fruit based Ice creams. It was founded by Raghunandan Srinivas Kamath who opened its first store at Juhu, Vile Parle in Mumbai in 1984. His father was a fruit vendor. Watching his father closely, his love for fruit began to grow. Raghunandan's mom had a lot of technique in including fruits in meal, which was also one of the reasons he grew more passionate about this. Currently they have hundreds of stores all over India serving variety of fresh fruits as a deliciously packed ice cream.
They have recently opened a new branch combined with "Just Sundaes" at the location Gandhinagar, in Mangalore. At first I was pretty skeptical of this place, since they were not selling normal Natural ice cream here and only sold it as a Sundae. I thought it would be just another pricey gimmic that's not worth the hype. But boy was I wrong! It's just the perfect blend of Natural Ice Cream and a Sundae. Totally worth it!
Coming back to the story. We were on our way to the Ice Cream Parlor. I called a friend who lived near by to join us, The more the merrier, right? Although she lived near by, she never ate the Sundae before, I insisted her to join us and finally try the heavenly ice cream. Well as expected, her mind was blown by the amazing burst of flavours in the ice cream.
The ambience of the place is very soothing. The interiors were done well. It's a place where you can come with your family or friends to hangout. I was surprised to see they had charging ports right beside the table, how convenient for someone who would wanna work with a laptop. The service was very fast and efficient. It was pretty crowded inside, soon we saw people waiting outside as well. Luckily we found a seat and ordered a few Sundae specials.
The first thing we tried was named Mudslide. It was a chocolate ice cream with brownies, almonds and some chocolate sauce. It was chocolicious. And the best part was that they had but some brownies in the bottom as well, it was a good surprise to find more brownies once we emptied the ones on top.
Our second dessert of the day was a Caramel Popcorn Sundae. This one was presented to us so beautifully, it was love at first sight😍💓. After having a bite of it, I was sure that this was my favorite one. It consisted of coffee walnut ice cream along with some caramel popcorn and some walnuts. I had a bite of ice cream along with a popcorn, it was just yummy. Coffee, caramel and walnuts go so well together.
The last ice cream we tried today was Tadgola Sundae. This is the most comforting ice cream I've ever had❤️. I've always loved this ice cream, mostly because of the simplicity of its flavor, it is so subtle yet so delicious. It's a combination of Malai(Cream on milk) ice cream and pieces of the Erol fruit (Palmyra fruit/ sugar palm fruit). I'd like to say that this ice cream feels like home.
We had an amazing time there. Surely a must visit for all the ice cream and fruit lovers. Have it once and you'll crave for it multiple times. We would love to go there once again n try all the other flavors as well. Hopefully will go there soon, cause I'm already craving for more.
I further would like to invite @bighungrypa and @shamab25 to relish the taste of this place and do come back to this review and tell me how apt it is.
