This is my third night in Timisoara, away from home, and although I miss my home and the vibe of my little hometown, I'm enjoying rediscovering the city where I spent my college years.
The place has undergone significant changes, no doubt about it. Some changes are for the better, but not everything is perfect here. There are still some issues and areas that need improvement.
I've been indulging in beef for the past few days, thanks to my friend who is a true food lover. He weighs 140 kilograms, a clear sign of his passion for food. He's an excellent cook with a refined palate, and he doesn't shy away from offering honest critiques when necessary.
Tonight, he took us to a downtown restaurant in Timisoara, and I must say we had a delightful meal. The bill for a table of four came to around $450, but as they say, quality comes at a price.
So, what did we have for dinner?
We started with beef tartare, tuna tartare, and some mouthwatering T-bone steaks. For dessert, I enjoyed a delectable cheesecake, and the others had equally delightful treats. And let's not forget about the wine.
We opted for a lovely rose wine, served chilled with a side of mineral water. In my native language, we refer to this combination as "sprit."
After dinner, we took a leisurely stroll through the city center, capturing numerous photos along the way. I'll be sharing these snapshots in a pinmapple post in the coming days.
Now, it's time for me to get some rest. I wish you all a fantastic weekend ahead, and I'll catch you next time. Oh, I almost forgot, we ate at Locanda Del Corso, in case you get to Timisoara and are willing to taste their cusine.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
