Greetings!
Today I will share with you guys one of the easiest dishes that always cook because it is so easy to prepare and cook. The dish contains only one main ingredient and the rests are species and condiments and it only requires easy steps to get the cooking done in no time. The dish is called "Adobong Sitaw" in our local language and Sitaw is the equivalent of "String Beans" in English.
This dish is also very versatile because you can add pork, chicken, fried fish, smoked fish, dried fish, dried squid, and dried shrimp to make it tastier. But I usually cook it with no added ingredient, only the string beans would do.
I came to know this dish when I was still young, my family would frequently cook this dish because my is always planting string beans in his little vegetable garden just beside our old ancestral house.
So, without further ado, here's how I cook this very simple but delicious dish...
- String Beans (Sitaw)
- Onion
- Garlic
- Bay Leaves
- Ground Black Pepper
- Soy Sauce (5 tablespoons)
- Vinegar (5 tablespoons)
- Salt (to taste)
- Cooking Oil

Peel and slice the onion
Peel and slice the garlic
Prepare the bay leaves
Prepare the ground black pepper
Prepare the soy sauce
Prepare the white vinegar
1. Sautee the onion and garlic in a cooking oil
2. Add the string beans
3. Add some water (half-submerging the string beans)
4. Add the bay leaves
5. Add the ground black pepper
6. Add the soy sauce

That is all for now guys, see you next time. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.
