Greetings to my dear friends of #foodiesbeehive, I am very pleased to be one more day sharing with everyone what I prepare in my humble kitchen. Today has been a rainy day in the city of Bogota, it actually rains quite often and when the days are cold one can get nostalgic, so unlike my wife who loves the rain, I get a tiny heart when the sun hides behind the clouds and the sky turns gray. But what could be better than a good hot chicken soup with lots of vegetables to lift your spirits, that's why today I didn't bring you a dessert to share but this rich soup that will provoke everyone.

Saludos a mis queridos amigos de #foodiesbeehive, estoy muy complacido de estar un día más compartiendo con todos lo que preparo en mi humilde cocina. Hoy ha sido un día lluvioso en la ciudad de Bogotá, en realidad llueve con bastante frecuencia y cuando los días son fríos uno puede ponerse nostálgico, así que a diferencia de mi esposa a quien le encanta la lluvia, a mí se me pone el corazón pequeñito cuando el sol se oculta tras las nubes y el cielo se torna gris. Pero qué puede ser mejor una buena sopa caliente de pollo con mucha verdura para levantar el ánimo, por eso hoy no les traje un postre para compartir sino está rica sopa que a todos va a provocar.

Ingredients:
4 pieces of chicken, preferably with bone in.
1 piece of pumpkin or squash of approximately 300 grams.
4 medium potatoes.
1 piece of celery, approximately 200 grams.
1 piece of cabbage.
1 onion.
Garlic to taste.
Salt and coriander.

1 trozo de auyama o calabaza de aproximadamente 300 gramos.
4 papas medianas.
1 trozo de apio, aproximadamente 200 gramos.
1 trozo de repollo o col.
1 cebolla.
Ajo al gusto.
Sal y cilantro.

Procedure:

Procedimiento: En un envase colocar a hervir las piezas de pollo con el ajo y la cebolla y sal. Dejar en el fuego una hora aproximadamente para que el pollo suelte todo el gusto. Puede ser que sea necesario agregar más agua durante ese tiempo, pero es importante darle el tiempo necesario para que además quedara bien cocido ya que tiene huesos.

Mientras se cocina el pollo, lavar las verduras y cortarlas en trozos medianos y cuando haya pasado el tiempo de cocción agregar las verduras excepto la col o el repollo.

Dejar hervir hasta que las verduras estén cocidas y tiernas, bajar la llama de fuego y agregar las hojas de col o el repollo troceadas, dejar al fuego por cinco minutos y apagar.
