Challenge found here: https://myfictionalworld.com/30-day-blog-challenge-part-1/
Hmm, this confuses me a bit. Then it says foods, is it then recipes or just single item foods.
I will go for single item foods, which is a bit weird, but fuck it.
Btw, this is not going to be in order, these are the top 10 foods I enjoy the most.
"Chickpeas"
I am a sucker for Chickpeas at the moment. I eat them twice a day, they are so easy to eat and I can eat double as many Chickpeas as to Rice and get around the same Calories.
But food choices lately have been influenced by my calorie count in order to get my maintance calories otherwise I would easy eat 3k calories a day haha.
"Red Lentils"
Amazing source of protein. 24g of protein in 100g of Lentils.
"Mixed seeds"
Any mixed seeds for Omega-3 and 6. I tend to mix 3 different kind of seeds, blend them and store them for my oat meal.
"Plant based milk"
A good source of Iron (At least the ones I drink) and I drink these daily as part of my oat meal.
"Mixed veggies"
Not much to add.
"Tofu/Tempeh"
People talk about Tofu and protein, but in reality, Lentils is a better source of protein and so its tempeh. Tempeh is just quite expensive compared to Tofu and Tofu ain't cheap.
"Oats"
I eat these daily part of my breakfast with plant-milk and a bit of cinnamon, its amazing and filling!
"Miso"
I read some of Dr. Greger's book "How not to diet", so I will be going away from salt and use Miso instead when cooking food.
"Potatoes"
Potatoes is so amazing. Nearly half your daily value of vitamin C and more potassium than a banana.
"Wraps"
Wraps may not be healthy, but they can mix up the way I eat my foods, so thats amazing!
These are my staples in my kitchen.
I know alot of vegan would add beans and beans are amazing, I just don't eat them that often. They fuck up my stomach and yes I have try to eat them consistently over a period of time. So I do eat them, but rarely.
