Today I want to share with you how to make our special empanada. We usually make this our viand when we travel to places. We can save money at the same time so full because of the yummy filling.

Ingredients Needed
🥟FOR THE DOUGH🥟
🥟flour
🥟eggs
🥟butter
🥟sugar
🥟FOR THE FILLING🥟
🥟meat (pork or chicken)
🥟carrots
🥟potatoes
🥟raisins
🥟garlic
🥟onions
🥟bell peppers
🥟boiled egg
🥟cheese
How to Prepare
The Dough
🥟 Mix all the ingredients.
🥟 Massage thoroughly to meet the right consistency of the dough
🥟 Set aside
Note: Make sure to cover it with clear plastic, we usually use cling wrap.
The Filling
🥟 Saute garlic and onions
🥟 Followed by pork (or chicken/ your choice)
🥟 Wait until cooked
🥟 Now put the carrots and potatoes
🥟 You can add oyster sauce and seasonings
🥟 Put a little amount of water
🥟 Leave until the veggies are all cooked
🥟 Add up the red bell pepper and raisins
🥟 You can now remove it from heat and set it aside (let it cool)
Prepare the boiled eggs and cheese by cutting them into small pieces. Just right for the dough.
Mold the dough into a circle and start to flatten it. Now you are ready to fill in your filling.
Now put the filling together with the boiled egg and cheese. Then, slowly close the other have of the dough then seal it carefully. Make sure to lock each side to prevent the filling from coming out when frying.
This will be the outcome and it's ready to fry. While making all these, you may prepare to heat the frying pan and put in a generous amount of frying oil. Make sure that the oil is at its right hotness.
Now put slowly the molded empanada into the frying pan. Control the fire in medium heat. Wait until the empanada was reached its desired color...mostly golden brown but for some that wanted it a little bit fried.
Now it's done and ready to serve. Perfect for the stormy weather in our place. Another way to conquer the weather is to just let it go and let us eat. A hot, yummy and full of meat special empanada of ours.
