To be honest I have no idea what fruit or plant is this until I Googled it and even then, I still have no idea what it is. Just that, I frequently seen it being sold by the local fruit vendors and sometimes in supermarkets in Vietnam. The locals would buy it for the purpose of prayers and giving grace for spiritual purposes. Once done, they would slice it up into small pieces - air dry it and then fry it with rock sugar. Placed into small containers, it will be freeze and eaten as a snack with beer.
The locals call it Buddha's Hand because of it's shape like fingers. In some ways, it does look like one but at the beginning, it looks like small bananas 😆
From Wikipedia, it says that Buddha's Hand has traditional elements which is good for the body and many older families in the outskirt areas uses it for healing purposes as well. I guess there is some truth to it, if not it wouldn't be called Buddha's Hand, right..
An unclose and personal shot of holding Buddha's Hand.
I'll definitely share more in my next post. Hope you enjoy my photo taken from my Huawei
