Hello food lovers.
today I want to share today's activities
There is one interesting tradition in the month of Muharram in Aceh, namely the people together cook starch or kanji ashura. Kanji Ashura has a deep meaning for Muslims in welcoming the month of Muharram because this month is the first month in the Hijryah calendar or the Islamic new year.
Kanji Ashura is the main menu that can never be separated from the celebration of the Islamic New Year in the month of Muharram in Indonesia.
Kanji Asyura starch is cooked in large quantities in people's homes, the goal is not only to be enjoyed alone, but also to be distributed to neighbors and travelers when they meet at the mosque.
Also, kanji ashura is not only cooked at the beginning of the month of Muharram but throughout the month or the whole month.
