Hello, community!
On weekdays, you don't always have time to treat yourself and your family to something delicious. After a day at work, you don't want to stand at the stove for a long time, and you don't have time to cook for a long time. So we make do with simple, quick meals.
Everything changes on weekends, especially when it rains in the morning and all walks or trips are cancelled. It's on days like this that you get inspired to bake or cook something.
Today I have two dishes. I cooked them both in the oven. It took me more than 4 hours, but it was worth it. I think everything turned out very tasty.
The first thing I did was to make a chicken and mushroom pie. To make it, I needed ready-made puff pastry, eggs, sour cream, chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese.
The first thing I did was fry the mushrooms and meat separately. Then I beat the eggs with sour cream and spices. I chose Italian Herbs. It's a very flavourful mix, so I use it a lot.
I greased the mould with vegetable oil and put the puff pastry in such a way as to form sides. They are necessary to prevent the filling from escaping. I spread the meat and mushrooms on the dough in an even layer. I poured the whipped mixture of eggs and sour cream on top. Then she spread slices of slices of prime rib all around the perimeter. The cake was baked at 180 degrees for 35 minutes. At the very end of cooking, I sprinkled it with grated cheese. This is how beautiful it turned out.
The next dish is sinabons. My family loves this pastry. While the pierog was cooking, I was making the dough for the sinabons. I dissolved sugar and yeast in warm milk. After the yeast had dissipated, I added an egg and butter at room temperature and kneaded a soft, elastic dough. It took a little over an hour to rise. Then I divided the dough into several parts, each of which I rolled out into a layer about 1 cm thick. On the rolled out dough, I applied a thick layer of butter all around the perimeter and sprinkled it thickly with cinnamon sugar. I rolled it into a roll, which I cut into equal slices.
I baked the sinabons for 40 minutes in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. During this time, I was working on the cream. This is the most delicious part of the synabons. For the cream, I needed cream cheese. I had Philadelphia. I added room temperature butter and powdered sugar to the cream cheese. I spread the cream on the cold pastry and served the sinabons for tea.
These are my Saturday meals.
Have a nice weekend with delicious food.
