This is a long overdue blog, which is a continuation of my Baguio trip. I've been caught up with life lately and was pretty much struggling, especially with my career. And on the brighter side, I was able to attend webinars, meet my friends in high school and college, visit some places, and eat good food. I need to finish this Baguio blog series before I can proceed to the next one.

It was already past one in the afternoon when we decided to end our visit to Botanical Garden. We decided to cut it short and had our lunch first, then go back to roaming around the garden. There are food stalls, a cafe, and a restaurant to choose from. However, the restaurant was a bit expensive and there was a crowd everywhere, so we decided to dine outside.
We decided to go back to Wright's Park, where we parked the car. It's a 10-minute walk from the Botanical garden. Luckily, after a few-minute walk, we found a peaceful and almost empty restaurant - Pine Country Steaks and Waffles.
Pine Country Steaks and Waffles is situated along the highway at Leonard Wood Road and just a few meters away from the Botanical Garden. It is hard to miss this restaurant because of its big wooden signage. Without it, it looks like a residential house with an open gate, though it is a bed and breakfast.
The main door has another signage wherein the restaurant's name is carved. Everything about the restaurant is wood, and even the floor looks like made of wood. The chairs and tables are simple and neatly arranged. Amid the American-like name, the restaurant is no doubt giving off a classic Filipino vibe.
With its simple setup, the restaurant space is maximized. It can accommodate a number of customers. There are tables outside the restaurant - at the front and side.

The waiter immediately gave us four menus upon entering and was waiting patiently for our order. The prices were somewhat on a mid-range level. Starters, like fries & onion rings, are almost 200 PHP. Their combo meals were not available (around 200-300 PHP) and the burgers (almost 300 PHP) were as well. We immediately jumped to their main course which is steak, but unfortunately, some were unavailable. Then the waiter recommended their platter serving.
After several attempts, we ordered the Rib Platter good for 4-5, which consists of 4 pieces of Grilled Pork Ribs, a platter of rice, a salad, and potato chops on the side. Then the three of us ordered cucumber juice and the other one ordered coffee instead.
We had our drinks and coffee first. After 22 minutes of waiting, the food was served. And to our surprise, the food was served in a generous amount, not to mention, it's mouthwatering. We thought our order is not enough like one rib for one person. However, it was good enough for four people, given then three were hungry.
I first ate the salad, and it didn't disappoint me. It was delish! The glazed pork ribs were tender, soft, and saucy. It was delectable! It was not hard to cut it because it easily fell off the bones. The meat felt like it melts in my mouth.

The Rib Platter is worth 908 PHP then the drinks were 50 PHP per glass. Each of us paid 277 PHP only, not bad. The food was great and the price was affordable. It was definitely worth it!
I highly recommend this place if you are around Botanical Gardens (130m) and Wrights Park (650m).
