Hello everyone,
How are you doing? I hope we are all safe and healthy doing well. I've been really busy these days so it's been a long time since my last post.
Anyway, today I have a new recipe to share that you might also want to imitate for your children. A few weeks ago, my neighbor messaged me asking if I wanted to order a sandwich spread and it was Nutella from Germany. To be honest for me it’s a bit expensive to buy just for the sandwich spread but I'm ashamed not to that I also wanted to support her because I know the feeling of selling just to get a little profit so I bought it because I know my kids would love it too.
please say Hi to my photobombmer. She’s wondering what I’m up to😹.
And since the package arrived just in time and I was on my way home for my rest day from work last weekend, I thought of inventing a homemade snack for the kids especially when I saw some leftover butter in the fridge.
So let's start. These are the ingredients I used.
- Nutella 🌰
- 12 pieces slice bread 🍞
- 1 piece egg 🥚
- 50 grams butter 🧈
- 40 grams white sugar.
Preparation
Before all this is my preparation. I cut the slice bread edges but unfortunately when I bought a loaf, one side was very crooked so I had a hard time getting everything even so I didn't cut one side because it will be small anyway, it's only for eating and not for sale.
Suddenly while preparing, there is this cute little guy Lucas peeking excitedly about his mom's recipe.😁
Procedure
Now for the cooking procedure as you can see on collage photos.
First I flatten the slices breads with a rolling pin and I use aluminum foil for this it’s because unfortunately I don’t have a rolling board yet. Then I started filling in the Nutella evenly.
Second is I slice it once.
Third, I actually brush the egg after I realized that my first attempt coating the bread with egg it absorbed too much so I only brush the rest after.
Fourth, In a preheated pan I melted the butter and slowly fried each.
Fifth is I flip on the other side and waited until it turns golden brown or golden black I may say because of the Nutella coming out.
Lastly, after taking out of the pan I just let it cool down a bit and I coated them with white sugar.
Finally, Tadaaa here’s my homemade bread snack!
It tasted sweet crunchy and chewy that my kids really Love it. Luckily their cousin visited just exact for the snack time in the morning and here they are enjoying my homemade snack.
By the way thank you so much for reading I appreciate your time. And maybe you want to experiment, feel free to use the guide and you can also use or add other ingredients if you want.
So that’s all for me today I hope you find this recipe interesting. Have a lovely day everyone.
