Today I'm sharing my entry for the weekly contest brought to us by the Qurator team, Qurator's: Hive Top Chef! | Quick and Easy, this week's challenge is going to be very interesting, because often quick and easy recipes are so delicious. For my starter, I chose an exquisite dessert, very easy and quick to make. Plus, I'm preparing it with only three ingredients. I'm talking about a delicious chocolate mousse with ricotta. This dessert will be one of the best you've ever tried, and it takes just minutes to make. Ricotta is a cheese that can be combined with sweet or savory dishes, and it will be a total success. Let's start with the step-by-step instructions.
Chocolate mousse with Ricotta
Ingredients:
200g ricotta.
80g semisweet chocolate bar.
Sugar or sweetener of your choice. I used two tablespoons of white sugar.
Nuts, optional.
Process:
1- Melt the chocolate. This can be done in the microwave or in a double boiler (this technique involves placing the food you want to heat or melt in a container, and placing that container inside a larger container with boiling water, but the water should not directly touch the container with the food). Once the chocolate is melted, set aside.
2- Next, place the ricotta cheese, melted chocolate, and sugar in a blender or food processor and blend until all ingredients are well combined. It's best to do this in a food processor; it takes a little longer to blend the cheese in a blender.
3- When the mixture is ready, serve it in ice cream cups or any mold you prefer. You can add any toppings you like best, or decorate with nuts and fruits, such as strawberries and blueberries; they make a perfect combination with chocolate. I decorated it with walnuts and chocolate chips. Freeze for a while, about half an hour.
4- Once the time has passed, remove it from the refrigerator and enjoy this delicious mousse. It has a wonderful texture, super creamy and pleasant to the taste. It's definitely a good option if you need to make something quick and delicious for a dinner party, get-together, or simply for a snack at home with your family, like I did.
