Hello everyone, as always I am happy to share with you a homemade recipe.
As I told you in my first post in this beautiful community, for some time I have been trying to make at home delicious dishes that I could enjoy in a restaurant. Some of them have been, shredded beef, lasagna, pizzas, different fish preparations, among others, but I had never dared to cook roast chicken in the oven.
Chicken meat is white, healthy and tasty. It can be prepared in different ways, but today I share with you this roast chicken preparation, which honestly surprised me a lot, because of how simple it is to make and the delicious result.
At home, surprisingly I had a whole chicken. Since there are not many of us at home, I decided to roast only half of it. Perhaps for fear that it would not turn out well, since it would be the first time. Well yes, call me a coward.
Half a chicken
One lemon.
Cumin
Pepper
Salt
Step 1. Mix the lemon juice, cumin and pepper in a bowl and set aside.
Step 2. Spread oil on the bottom of the baking dish. Place the chicken skin side up and apply salt to taste all over the surface of the chicken and then spoon the lemon seasoning mixture all over and massage the chicken piece. I let it rest for an hour.
Step 3. When the hour of rest of the chicken with the marinade had passed. I preheated the oven for 10 minutes and introduced the chicken. (In my oven the clock does not mark the temperature levels, but by numbers, so the first 30 minutes I left it at 2 and a half). After the first 30 minutes I lowered the temperature to 1 (the minimum) and left it for an hour and 15 minutes more. Then 5 minutes at the maximum temperature (4) to achieve a better tanning of the chicken skin and I turned off the oven (I never turned it over, but roasted it in the same position, with the chicken skin side up).
While the chicken was in the oven, I prepared the side dish, roasted potatoes in the pressure cooker and seasonal vegetable salad.
This time I had a huge surprise, the chicken was soft, juicy and most importantly extra delicious. This is the first of many occasions in which @lapasta and I will delight ourselves with an exquisite roast chicken cooked by ourselves.
It might seem like a boring recipe, but once again, the pleasure of making it and savoring it with the person I love filled me with deep happiness. For this reason, and as always, I recommend it to you.

Hola a todos, como siempre feliz de compartir con ustedes una receta hecha en casa.
Como les comenté en mi primer post en esta hermosa comunidad, desde hace un tiempo intento realizar en casa deliciosos platos que podía disfrutar en algún restaurante. Algunas de ellas han sido, ropa vieja, lasaña, pizzas, diferentes elaboraciones de pescado, entre otras, pero nunca me había atrevido a cocinar pollo asado en el horno.
La carne de pollo es blanca, saludable y sabrosa. Esta puede ser preparada de diversas maneras pero hoy les comparto esta elaboración de pollo asado, que sinceramente me sorprendió muchísimo, por lo sencilla de hacer y el delicioso resultado.
En casa, sorprendentemente tenía un pollo completo. Como no somos muchos en casa, decidí asar solo la mitad. Quizás por temor de que no resultara bien, pues sería la primera vez. Pues sí, llámenme cobarde.
Un limón.

Pimienta
Sal
Paso 1. Mezclar en una tasa el zumo de limón, comino y pimienta y reservar.
Paso 2. Untar aceite en el fondo de la bandeja para hornear. Colocar el pollo con la piel para arriba y apliqué por toda la superficie del pollo sal al gusto y luego vertí con una cuchara por todas las partes, la mezcla de limón con condimentos, masajeando la pieza de pollo. Dejé reposar por una hora.
Pasó 3. Cuando transcurrió la hora de reposo del pollo con el adobo. Precalenté el horno durante 10 minutos e introduje el pollo. (En mi horno el reloj no marca los niveles de temperatura, sino por números, así que los primeros 30 minutos lo dejé en 2 y medio). Transcurridos los primeros 30 minutos bajé la temperatura a 1 (el mínimo) y dejé durante una hora y 15 minutos más. Luego 5 minutos a la máxima temperatura (4) para lograr mayor bronceado de la piel del pollo y apagué el horno. (Nunca lo volteé, sino que lo asé en la misma posición, con la piel del pollo para arriba).
Mientras estaba el pollo en el horno, preparé el acompañamiento, papas asadas en la olla de presión y ensalada de vegetales de temporada.
En esta oportunidad me llevé una enorme sorpresa, el pollo estuvo suave, jugoso y lo más importante extra delicioso. Esta es la primera de muchas ocasiones en que @lapasta y yo, nos deleitaremos con un exquisito pollo asado elaborado por nosotros mismos.
Pudiera parecer una receta aburrida, pero una vez más, el placer de hacerla y saborearla con la persona que amo me llenó de profunda felicidad. Por esta razón y como siempre se las recomiendo.
