Feliz fin de semana y feliz día de las madres adelantado para todas 😚. Para compartir este Domingo Día De Las Madres hice una exquisita preparación que me encantó, unas galletas tipo tartaleta con mermelada de guayaba casera, me tomó algo de trabajo el poder escribir e incluso hacer los patrones usando la masa, pero al final logré facilitarme el trabajo usando un par de trucos.
Happy weekend and an early Happy Mother’s Day to all 😚. To share this Sunday on Mother’s Day, I made a delightful preparation that I absolutely loved—tartlet-style cookies with homemade guava jam. It took me some effort to write and even create the patterns using the dough, but in the end, I managed to make the process easier by using a couple of tricks.
Quiero aclarar que me vi en la obligación de presentar de esta manera la preparación, y no cortada en cuadros para comer como galletas o snack, pues es preciso que la frase quede intacta hasta mañana para que el mensaje se pueda apreciar al momento de la celebración 💖✨

- 1/2 kilo de guayabas. 💖
- 1 taza de azúcar. 🍯
- 2 y 1/ 2 de agua. 💧
- Limón. 🍋
- 1/2 kg of guavas. 💖
- 1 cup of sugar. 🍯
- 2 1/2 cups of water. 💧
- 1 Lemon. 🍋

- 400 gramos de harina de trigo leudante. 🌾
- 1/2 taza de azúcar. 🍯
- 1/2 taza de leche. 🥛
- 1/4 taza de aceite. 🌻
- 1 cucharada de manzanilla. 🌼
- 1 cucharadita de vainilla. 🌼
- 1 huevo. 🥚
- 400 grams of self-rising wheat flour. 🌾
- 1/2 cup of sugar. 🍯
- 1/2 cup of milk. 🥛
- 1/4 cup of oil. 🌻
- 1 tablespoon of chamomile. 🌼
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla. 🌼
- 1 egg. 🥚

En una olla a fuego medio, agregué las guayabas que ya tenía limpias, cortadas y congeladas. Les añadí el agua y dejé que hirvieran por aproximadamente 10 minutos.
In a pot over medium heat, I added the guavas that were already clean, cut, and frozen. I added the water and let it boil for about 10 minutes.
Esperé a que estuvieran a temperatura ambiente para licuar durante menos de un minuto, evitando romper las semillas. Luego, las colé para extraerlas y llevé nuevamente la mezcla al fuego en una paila o cazuela gruesa.
I waited for it to cool to room temperature before blending for less than a minute, avoiding breaking the seeds. Then, I strained it to remove the seeds and returned the mixture to the heat in a thick pan or pot.
Agregué el azúcar y unas gotas de limón, mezclé un poco para integrarlo y lo dejé hasta que comenzó a hervir. En ese momento, removí constantemente para evitar que se pegara.
I added the sugar and a few drops of lemon, stirred a bit to incorporate everything, and let it cook until it began to boil. At that point, I stirred continuously to prevent sticking.
Repetí este paso hasta obtener la consistencia de mermelada. Finalmente, la reservé.
I repeated this step until I achieved a jam-like consistency. Finally, I set it aside.

En un envase añadí el huevo, el azúcar, la mantequilla y el aceite; los batí hasta integrarlos por completo y continué añadiendo un cuarto de taza de la leche.
In a container, I added the egg, sugar, butter, and oil; I whisked them until fully combined and then continued by adding a quarter cup of milk.
Añadí por último la harina integrándola o mezclandola con una cucharilla (sin amasar) sólo hasta obtener una especie de arena gruesa como se observa en las fotos.
Finally, I added the flour, incorporating or mixing it with a spoon (without kneading), just until obtaining a coarse sand-like texture, as shown in the photos.
Ahora, con la mano empecé a unirla y compactarla, estuve añadiendo un poco más de leche hasta obtener una masa suave.
Now, with my hand, I began to bring it together and compact it, adding a little more milk until I achieved a soft dough.
Luego fui estirando con un rodillo un pedazo de la masa hasta cubrir por completo una bandeja que previamente enmantequillé.
Then, I rolled out a piece of the dough with a rolling pin until it completely covered a previously buttered tray.
Seguidamente, le añadí una capa de la mermelada y comencé a formar las palabras. Hice unas tiras delgadas para poder darle forma a cada letra.
Next, I added a layer of jam and started forming the words. I made thin strips to shape each letter.
Ahora vamos a realizar más tiras un poco más gruesas y con ellas haré un tejido, decidí colocarlas de forma perpendicular y entrelazarlas, primero una por arriba, y luego por debajo y así sucesivamente.
Now, we are going to make thicker strips, and with them, I will create a weave. I decided to place them perpendicularly and interlace them, first one over, then one under, and so on.
Llevamos a hornear a 180° por 40 minutos.
We bake it at 180°C for 40 minutes.
Como mencioné, en mi caso la dejaré así hasta mañana, pero me era necesario subir este post el día de hoy, así que sólo les explicaré cómo cortarla.
As I mentioned, in my case, I will leave it like this until tomorrow, but I needed to upload this post today, so I will only explain how to cut it.
Lo desmoldamos y con un cuchillo pueden hacer cortes en perpendicular para obtener rombos u horizontales y verticales para obtener cuadros, en realidad lo pueden hacer en la forma que ustedes deseen.
We unmold it, and with a knife, you can make perpendicular cuts to obtain diamonds or horizontal and vertical cuts to get squares. In reality, you can shape it however you prefer.
