Ramadan is nearly over my dearest foodies friend!
In some parts of the world, it's already over and they will celebrate Eid tomorrow!
I wish all those celebrating a Happy Eid, enjoy this day with family and friends.
Here in Mauritius, as the moon crescent was not visible...we have a last day to fast tomorrow and on Friday we will celebrate Eid!
So this year's Ramadan we are having a full 30 days of fasting.
We were not sure if it will be Eid or not tomorrow...we've been waiting the official announcement which just came out.
Thinking that it was our last fasting day today...we prepared a very simple iftaar table for the 29th one, check it out!
My wife cooked a nice beef tajine with potatoes and peas and we broke our fast mainly with this dish today!
Had it with some bread, was very delicious!
My sister sent some Halim for us to enjoy! It was a little spicy and just so tasty!
Halim is a thick mixed lentils and cereals soup with beef and bones, a classic Mauritian food!
As mentioned above...we were not sure if this was going to be the last iftaar for this year...and we were mainly concentrated in preparing for Eid, that's why our iftaar table of the day looks empty compared to the previous 28 tables!
We had our usual Moroccan tea, Mauritian milk tea, juices and water as drinks for the day and only some grapes on the fruits side!
But the beef tajine saved the day!
So finally my last Iftaar table will be posted tomorrow...i will try to make a nice one to close this 2021 Ramadan month in beauty!
I wish to thank everyone who has been supporting my Iftaar tables since day one of Ramadan...you guys are awesome!
I am so happy to have been able to post maximum of them on the Hive blockchain! I think i've missed only two days where I was really busy specially with the birthday of my daughter.
Wish you all a pleasant day/evening ahead!
Thanks
