Today I want to share this new recipe I prepared with chayote, it's the first time I prepare a recipe with this vegetable! Since I wasn't sure if I was going to like its flavor, I decided to prepare it with broccoli and gratin it with baked cheese and the result was delicious.

¡El dÃa de hoy quiero compartir esta nueva receta que preparé con chayote, es primera vez que preparo una receta con esta hortaliza! Como no estaba segura de si me iba a gustar su sabor, decidà prepararlo con brócolis y gratinarlo con queso al horno y su resultado fue delicioso.

The first thing we need to do is to place the broccoli to boil until soft; it usually takes 10 minutes to get that result. We will have to prepare the chayotes, for that we will peel the chayote with a peeler or knife removing the peel, then we will cut it into small squares and repeat the same with the onion and garlic. We will place the cut vegetables in a frying pan with the oil to fry until they soften a little. Then we will put in the pan the salt, the broccoli, the milk, the parmesan cheese and the milk cream, we will mix it with a spoon and we will leave it on low heat for 5 minutes having as a result our vegetable with a delicious sauce, we will pour it in a container to take it to the oven, but before we will put our mozzarella to gratinate. We will leave it in the oven at 180 degrees until the top is golden brown; it may take 10-15 minutes.

Lo primero que necesitamos hacer es colocar los brócolis a hervir hasta que estén blandos; normalmente demora 10 minutos para obtener ese resultado. Tendremos que preparar los chayotes, para eso vamos a pelar el chayote con un pelador o cuchillo retirando la cáscara, luego lo cortaremos en cuadros pequeños y repetiremos lo mismo con la cebolla y los ajos. Colocaremos los vegetales cortados en un sartén con el aceite a sofreÃr hasta que ablanden un poco. Después colocaremos en el sartén la sal, los brócolis, la leche, el queso parmesano y la crema de leche vamos a mezclarlo con una cuchara y lo dejaremos a fuego bajo por 5 minutos teniendo de resultado nuestro vegetal con una deliciosa salsa, vamos a verterlo en un recipiente para llevarlo al horno, pero antes colocaremos nuestra mozzarella para gratinar. Vamos a dejar en el horno a 180 grados hasta que la parte de arriba se encuentra dorada; puede demorar ese resultado de 10-15 minutos.
That's how easy we have this perfect lunch or dinner to enjoy. The truth is that chayota is similar to potato, but it has a lot of water making your meal light and not so heavy unlike potato. I love preparing this vegetable, I will definitely try more recipes with this vegetable.

Asà de fácil tenemos este almuerzo o cena perfecta para disfrutar. La verdad es que la chayota es similar a la papa, pero tiene mucha agua haciendo que tu comida sea ligera y no tan pesada a diferencia de la papa. Me encanta preparar este vegetal, sin duda intentaré más recetas con este vegetal.
