Hey! people from Foodies Bee Hive! I know I had been inactive for a long time in this great community, but today I was a bit creative and I wanted to take advantage and make a post about it.
We made choripanes at home and I want to explain the process step by step for you.
We are going to Need:
- Bread
- Chorizo (Here we use spicy and ham)
- Melted cheese
- BBQ sauce
- Peppers
- Onion
- Tomatoes
The first thing I did was prepare the vegetables for our breads, I know that for many of you it might seem a bit strange combination, but I really like the sweet flavor that the paprika gives it, lately I have been using it a lot for everything.
I cut everything into strips and squares. not very big and not very small, then I fry it all in a large enough frying pan to avoid problems.
In the pan I use a little oil and leave it for a long time, when I see that all the flavors begin to mix and the water that comes out of the vegetables thickens, I pour in a little BBQ sauce, this reinforces everything and makes it a little bittersweet.
I decided to slice the chorizo into thinner pieces to be able to distribute it better, the loaves were quite small so this facilitated the process.
For the bread we use French bread, which is characterized by being hard on the outside and soft on the inside, in Venezuela lately it is difficult to get good bread but we found a bakery that offers very good quality.
We roasted the chorizos and put the melted cheese in the microwave oven to melt. After this I opened the loaves and filled them.
I am quite satisfied with the results, the vegetables work very well with the cheese and the chorizo, it is a simple food but it tastes great.

Hey! Gente de Foodies bee hive! Sé que tenía bastante tiempo inactivo en esta gran comunidad, pero hoy andaba un poco creativo y quise aprovechar y hacer un post al respecto.
Hicimos choripanes en casa y les quiero detallar el proceso.
Para los choripanes vamos a necesitar:
- Pan
- Chorizo (Aquí usamos picante y de jamón)
- Queso fundido
- Salsa de BBQ
- Pimentón
- Cebolla
- Tomate
Lo primero que hice fue preparar los vegetales de nuestros panes, sé que para muchos de ustedes podría parecer una combinación un poco extraña, pero me gusta mucho el sabor dulce que le da el pimentón, últimamente he estado usándolo bastante para todo.
Corto todo en tiras y cuadros. no muy grandes y no muy chicas, luego lo sofrío todo en un sartén bastante grande para no tener problemas.
En el sartén uso un poco de aceite y lo dejo un largo rato, cuando veo que todos los sabores empiezan a mezclarse y el agua que brota de los vegetales se espesa vierto un poco de salsa de BBQ, esto refuerza todo y hace que quede un poco agridulce.
El chorizo decidí rebanarlo en pedazos más delgados para poder distribuirlo mejor, los panes eran bastante pequeños así que esto facilitaba el proceso.
Para el pan usamos pan francés, que se caracteriza por ser duro afuera y suave por dentro, en Venezuela últimamente es complicado conseguir buen pan pero dimos con una panadería que ofrece muy buena calidad.
Asamos los chorizos y coloque el queso fundido en el horno microondas para que se derritiera. Luego de esto abrí los panes y los rellené.
Estoy bastante satisfecho con los resultados, los vegetales funcionan muy bien con el queso y el chorizo, es una comida simple pero sabe muy bien.
